Johann Joachim Quantz (1697-1773) nahm als Flötenlehrer Friedrichs des Großen eine herausragende und privilegierte Stellung im musikalischen Leben am Potsdamer Hof ein. Viele seiner Werke und auch viele der von ihm gebauten Flöten entstanden ab 1741 exklusiv für den Monarchen. Frank Theuns spielt auf einer originalgetreuen Kopie einer Quantz-Flöte einige der „Privat-Konzerte“ Quantz’ für den Monarchen. - Hudba
