After A Try You Get A Conversion kick. The ball is placed from where the Ball Was Grounded first the Try. If you score between the Posts you get the kick from right in front of you score in the Corner you Need A Hail Mary of a kick

And in regards to the conversion, it’s taken from the same spot on the field as to where the ball was grounded for the try. The kicker can move it closer or further away to the goal line, to either shorten the distance with a tighter angle or have a longer kick but a wider angle at the posts, as long as it’s along the line of where the ball was grounded

Where you place the ball down and score the try the ball is kicked from a spot perpendicular so in line with that try then they gotta kick back towards the sticks. The Goal is to score the try in the middle of the sticks to make an easier kick for goal.
Just to get you more firmiliar with the game. The fastest guys in every team are numbers 1.fullback #2&5 are called wingers standing on each edges of the team and finally 3&4 called centers, they stand before the wingers. Centers are fast but also very defensive.

The reason you'll see people try to score in the middle is because that's the easiest conversion. Scoring right in the corner is the hardest
Conversions for tries are taken perpendicular to where the try is scored. Score out wide, kick from outside. Score under the posts, kick from in front.

So if you score a try under the posts, you kick from right in front. If you score out in the corner, then the kick is taken from near the sideline.

Number 2 is Will Warbrick. He use to play Rugby 7s for New Zealand until Melbourne brought him to the NRL. Number 5 is Xavier Coates. He use to be a sprinter but wanted to play rugby too and exploded for Broncos so Melbourne took him to replace another speedster that just left them. Gonna be a dangerous wing duo this season 🔥

A lot of the squirming on the ground is to try and show the referee you’re trying to get up and the defence is holding you down. A lot of times is just a bluff to put pressure on the ref to give a penalty.
Also you have to kick the conversion in line from where the try was scored. You score near the sideline you kick near the sideline

Just wanted to let you know the placement on the kicking is in line with where the try is scored. You can choose how far back you go but you have to stay in line with where the try was scored
when scoring a try the kicker has too kick the conversion in line where the try was scored so when a winger scores on the sideline just like Coates did the kicker will have too kick from the sideline thats why you see players try run closer too the middle too get a easier kick

They are squirming to get up so they can get a fast play of the ball and keep the momentum. Also if the other team doesnt let them up fast enough it becomes a prenalty.
The kicks are placed from where the try is scored, if the try is scored under the post than it will be kicked from right infront (10m), if on the sideline it will be kicked from the sideline. But again you can choose how far you want the kick but usually it’s kicked on the siding from far from the try line so it’s even with the posts.
If you kick it from the sideline but 10m out the kick doesn’t have much chance that’s why they bring the ball out to 25-30meters, so the ball has much chance because the posts would sit alot wider compared to 10m

This is why all team's have a wrestling coach defensively so player's are taught how to put an attackers on their back in order to slow down the play the ball as much as possible within the legal boundaries.There are many techniques beit a one on one tackle or multiple tacklers involved.

13:52 So Grant passed that into him on purpose to get a penalty because hes not supposed to be in the way. But the ref actually ruled against Grant and gave the penantly to the other team which was pretty funny.
They made a rule a few years ago that you can't intentionally throw the ball from dummy half into an opposition to milk a penalty. Ford had cleared the ruck, allowing the play the ball, and Grant passed it straight into him instead of passing to a teammate. If he actually intended to pass to a teammate, it's very likely the ball doesn't touch Ford

The Storm banner is a traditional Melbourne thing.The AFL teams have had massive banners for years, so it's an associated Melbourne thing. Our banner crew is amazing. Also Wil Warbrick, who scored the first try is a "newbie" because he came across to Rugby League from the Rubgy 9s competition. Has only played League for 3 years, after winning a silver medal for NZ in the Commonwealth games.
