He previously played for the Canterbury bulldogs that had an average performance but when he went to melbourne storm, he developed to become a high tier utility player especially with the injuries that melbourne had with the fullback # 1 the dude with the hair band.

We generally don't call this rugby in New Zealand, we call it league, to differentiate it from rugby union, the more common variant in New Zealand.
