Jordi Savall and Hespèrio XXI are a real treasure - a gift to mankind. Sadly, the current state of the world is such that most people are either unfamihliar with their work or do not have the sensitivity or disposition to appreciate it.

Des musiques pour la Terre, elles déploient ses beautés, en explore les mystères. Alors d'invisibles fils, comme des cordes subtiles, relient nos pensées errantes, et nos psychés vagabondes ...à la grande Âme du monde.
Cette musique est un paysage d'émotions et les images qu'elle suscite ne peuvent que nous porter vers la grandeur et l'harmonie.
¿Se puede decir algo más y mejor de la música que hace Jordi Savall? Mejor quizá no, pero más sí se puede decir... Cada nuevo proyecto en sus manos alcanza cotas nunca antes oídas. Un genio único con el que hemos tenido la suerte de convivir.
Definitivamente la música es el mejor medio para comunicar y transmitir emociones. Agradezco a todos los seres que dedican sus vidas a enaltecer el espíritu a través de ella.

É como se se levantasse lentamente um nevoeiro sobre as montanhas e, pouco a pouco, rebanhos, faldas, verdes, pastores, crianças viessem para o ar livre, numa melopeia pastoral. Mas com uma trompa de chamada sempre presente. Muito bom

Musique magnifique, empreinte de grâce... et aussi de nostalgie, d'après moi. J'avais pu voir il y a deux ans un spectacle de danses traditionnelles, c'est très beau, tout le public était conquis par la grâce (c'est vraiment le mot qui me vient sans cesse) de la musique, des attitudes et de la gestuelle !
Sur la même longueur d'ondes que vous, Barbara !!! Et d'autant plus que Français de naissance et d'origines Arméniennes..., j'aime peu ou prou toutes les musiques sans frontières. En juillet 2021, j'ai rejoint l'abbaye de Fontfroide près de Narbonne pour assister à l'un des concerts du Festival créé là-bas par Jordi SAVALL. Musicalement à vous et vers vous... Patrick

What is European DNA and how deep can you sense things without knowledge of DNA? (that is molecular biology).

In discovering through DNA testing how international I might be, I was stunned to see that I'm totally NW European. A bit disappointing.
To get out of that brain work and into a broader and deeper sense of being, imagination takes flight. We're all unified as the human race. After all, the word "science" means "knowledge," no matter how that knowledge might be acquired.

(I understand that when you were born into an Innuit community but that can't be true, I guess). Outstanding music! I was fortunate enough to see Jordi Savall/Hesperian XXI in concert Barcelona, 2017, on the eve of the Catalonian independence declaration. Amazing artists and performance as well as an interesting walk to my apartment through a city in lockdown.

Quelle belle musique , si mélancolique et envoutante... A l'image de ce pauvre peuple, persécuté depuis les origines, qui a subi le génocide Turc, et qui aujourd'hui encore est massacré dans l'indifférence générale. Cette musique me fait penser à la musique Juive. C'est la même nostalgie, et souvent les mêmes instruments que la musique des Juifs Orientaux. Comme d'habitude Jordi Savall nous fait pénétrer dans cet univers avec l'humanité qui le caractérise.

Intendi che pizzica e tammurriata in confronto sono solo musichetta da folcloristiche feste sull' aia? Certamente! Ma non sono da paragonare con simili composizioni eccellenti di musica tragico-solenne che suscita sensazioni profonde dell' anima!

I think you are referring to the word DJAN it is an Armenian word meaning dear or loved one
@@varoong The word ''djan'' or ''jan'' or ''can'' is Persian originally. Used as ''can'' in Turkish also. But the song title is named in Turkish here because it uses the suffix -ım/ ''Canım'' means ''my dear''. There is no such grammar rule in Armenian or Persian. Before canım there is also Turkish verb ''vur'' means to hit but I am confused about first word. I am talking about piece III. Probably the impact of Azerbaijani Turks lived for centuries in Erevan and surroundings.

Turkish language uses it too . ''Canım'' in Armenian would mean "being disgusted " Don't want to get into politics here but Azerbaijan was created by the Soviet Union the land originally belonged to Armenia and Persia
@@varoong We can attest the name of Karabakh as "Sharabach" in Schiltberger's trevologues during 15th c. Turkmen States like Black Sheep or figures like Uzun Hasan or Seljuks or Oghuz Turks.. All related to them. Their impact is so much that "Armenian national instrument" is also named in their language, Turkish. And according to censuses of Russian Empire around 48% of Erevan was made of Turks in 19th century. There is never one single culture ruling in one place and these "who came first" arguments are also meaningless. Cheers & peace.
