    FRAGRANT LEMONGRASS RICE

    Ingredients:
    1 cup basmati rice : pre-soak in water for 30 minutes, drain & set it aside
    100-150ml fresh lemongrass juice - blend 2 lemongrass in a blender & sieve
    3 fresh lemongrass, crushed
    2 small cinnamon sticks
    8 cloves & 2 star anise
    1 red onion, sliced
    1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
    1 heaped tbsp ghee
    1 tbsp cooking oil
    Any vegetable seasoning powder/stock cube
    Salt to taste
    Steps:
    Heat up some ghee & oil over medium low flame. Add in the cinnamon, star anise, cloves & onion. Stir fry until fragrant, 2 minutes.
    Now, add in the lemongrass, ginger-garlic paste and a little salt. Sauté for 2 mins . Turn off the flame.
    Then, add in the rice and seasoning powder. Mix well.
    Transfer the rice into the rice cooker.
    Pour in the water and lemongrass juice and allow it to cook.
    Once cooked, after 10 mins, fluff the rice with a fork. Garnish with fresh coriander and sliced red chillies. Enjoy!
