"You can't have infinite growth on a finite planet", this meaningful and logical statement makes super good sense and practically down-to-earth And We can't cleverly change if we don't control ourselves effectively.
But it is not so obvious where to draw the line, more growth sometimes helps the environment by taking other problem from people lives they can worry about climate change. Of course, some plans of action are obvious without a bad side, like collective transportation, it's a win-win, but Uber did more for that than most governments. Also research, investment in research is always a win.
As logical as it may sound, many people legit believe in unlimited growth and opportunities (i.e. "just work hard enough and you will be a billionaire!")

I mean even if climate change advocates are exaggerating the issue, what harm is there to implement greener methods and consume less and treat our planet better? Let's face it - our generation has mad a holy mess of managing Climate Change. The least we can do now is empower our kids with the knowledge and tools they need, along with the motivation to tackle Climate Change. I agree with what you say here, but in order for these kinds of ideas to help reverse man-made climate change, the U.N. must first create a new 'Global Economic Model' GEM that is based on a better definition of 'profit'. I recommend this definition: "Profit = our gratefulness and loving care for the environment and sustenance that it provides to all of us". Regarding over population, we could try a global law of only two children per family. Again, two kids per family, under our old definition of 'profit' would also cause staggering inflation and bankruptcy. The dictionary definition is backwards to nature's economy because with "profit = income - expenses", the entire environment (including us), make up the expense part of the equation. Businesses must avoid and or eliminate all expenses. I think of the present definition of profit as a model for misbehavior towards the entire environment.

I got one white pine growing in a pot now about ten inches high (almost). Gonna plant it outside inthe spring. I think everyone should be made aware about it especially at the grass root level who authorizes the license to vehicle owner to big corporate houses to run factories and industries without caring the future generation's need. It was well said in this video that a finite world/ planet cannot have infinite. We (every individual) should take the ownership to protect the planet Earth. Our motto should be "Our World" not "My World". There should be "Collaboration" not "Competition" among nations and finally there should be "Equity" not "Disparity" within a nation. Im not saying we should waste time, we could have started changing yesterday, but humans are very capable of finding solutions (technical, like renewable energies, even maschines that can clean the air have been invented and much more can be in the next decades). Do you think emissions and pollution stop within a country's borders? this applies to everyone everywhere. For 30 years, companies have moved their production to China to make more money. At the same time, they have exported all emissions to China. Although in the end, it is yours and my cosumtion that is shooting down in China. yet US and European emissions per capita are significantly higher than those of the Chinese. But China needs to clean up and they make far more than the United States to build new cleaner electricity production.
If all the people that really believes that the temperature rises because of the CO2 emission, start to follow the advices of the experts, I think we should manage to get this problem under control. The people that does not believe it, may then go on driving their cars, flying around the world and continue to eat meat. There isn't a machine invented, that can suck down carbon and related unwanted gases better than trees. Its the fastest and most effective way to not just mitigate climate change but also reverse it. We should all join hands to expand our urban forest and tree canopy.

Suggestion: How universal health systems handle the current coronavirus pandemic compared to the broken private health system of the United States? Please do an extensive, fair and scientific analysis for these 2 systems in full episode that can be used as reference.
Was there anyone in the US who was not treated if they had Covid-19? Was anyone left on the street to die from it, that went for help? Granting that some people most likely received very large bills for medical care for Covid, will any of them go to jail for not being able to pay? US healthcare is and has been a mess, but that can truly be said of any country you cite. Most of those countries and the US all seem to be able to ensure that their populations were able to get assistance for this disease. So this particular pandemic isn't a good 'thought exercise' for healthcare overall imo. You can however look at plenty of less developed countries with various ways of dealing with health issues (this pandemic in particular) and draw some basic conclusions around type of governernance and rights protections of the people.
If we want to effectively tackle these problems, what we need is to focus only on measures that have a real impact 1) distance tax: a tax that increases the longer the goods are shipped or transported- this incentivizes a local economy and stops the mess of goods running around the world for no reason. 2) female education- the more educated the less children they will have, as overpopulation is a huge problem 3) tackle income inequality- tax the super wealthy and the multinationals, make them pay the right share, no more tax avoidance or producing in countries with lower regulations. Big companies need the most resources and make up the biggest polluters, so local and smaller is better. 4) universal basic income so people dont have "to make a living" at any cost and follow their passions- no damaging, stupid or unnecessary work 5) make hemp biodiesel (and other biodiesels) make up 30% of all fuel compulsory in the economy and make investments. Tackle food waste and make it maximal 5% of all produced. Go towards 0% fossil fuels with improved technology. Swap most plastics for hemp-derived materials 6) sustainability index- make an index of the worst environmental offender-practices. Ban those that are not needed and bring within limits those that can be made sustainable. Use taxes to incentivize/disincentivize 7) go towards a bio-adapted infrastructure such as passages for the wild under highways and so forth. Go back to natural farming, drop all intensive farming, is healthier anyway. Decrease production of animal products. Abandon chemicals, fertilizers and pesticides, all not sustainable. 8) we need a working UN back in some form, to protect areas such as the amazonas and other strategically important parts of the world for the ecology. Besides that we need first nation countries to invest in countries that are lagging behind, as the investment would yield much greater results. This is a global challenge. 9) drop all the measures that wont make any difference and accept that we cant control it 100% at this point. Maybe there are some benefits in a warmer climate too. Yes! This is what's needed. I just addressed some of those issues in my own reply further up, and am glad to see your sensible, proactive and doable suggestions. 25 years ago, a car that used hemp oil as fuel was driven around the USA and made a few stops in Canada. In Toronto, I spoke to the 2 men who drove it, and they said that the only modification they had to make to the engine was to replace the cork gaskets with rubber ones. It was a station wagon, so they carried the fuel on the roof and in the back, and more fuel was sent ahead by train to stops along their route. I was enthused by this greener alternative. Unfortunately, that idea didn't catch on then, mostly due to the powerful oil and gasoline industry blocking it (i.e. lobbyists finding loopholes, and financial contributions made behind the scenes), similar to the earlier electric cars developed at the turn of the last century. *_Hemp_* has also been made into both hard and malleable "plastic" to replace toxic, non-biodegradable, petroleum-based plastics. Hemp "plastic" bags (for shopping purchases) have been around for 20 years, but retailers refused to pay the slightly higher price (than plastic), that would have gone down as more bought and used them. Another issue is the proliferation of _fast fashion,_ mostly made of non-biodegradable, petro-chemicals like polyester, nylon, acrylic and Spandex. They are cheaply made, fall apart easily, and most ends up in landfill sites. They tap into the ever-changing fashion trends that people buy and wear for a season or two, then dispose of. Natural fibres like hemp are more sustainable, don't require toxic pesticides, and last longer. Ropes used on ships have beeen made of hemp for centuries. The booming, American cotton industry, sensing a threat from hemp farming, used the argument that cannabis/hemp was a "drug" and pressured the government to ban it, which it did in 1937 (under the Marijuana Tax Act), effectively killing their competition. Well explained indeed! While it is imperative that we all understand Climate Change, what causes it and how to tackle it, the call of the hour is that our CHILDREN understand it. Let's face it - our generation has mad a holy mess of managing Climate Change. The least we can do now is empower our kids with the knowledge and tools they need, along with the motivation to tackle Climate Change. While we put in place action plans to tackle the crisis, this is equally important!

I agree with what you say here, but in order for these kinds of ideas to help reverse man-made climate change, the U.N. must first create a new 'Global Economic Model' GEM that is based on a better definition of 'profit'. I recommend this definition: "Profit = our gratefulness and loving care for the environment and sustenance that it provides to all of us". Regarding over population, we could try a global law of only two children per family. Again, two kids per family, under our old definition of 'profit' would also cause staggering inflation and bankruptcy. The dictionary definition is backwards to nature's economy because with "profit = income - expenses", the entire environment (including us), make up the expense part of the equation. Businesses must avoid and or eliminate all expenses. I think of the present definition of profit as a model for misbehavior towards the entire environment.

The following are some of the measures devised to manage climate change but were not successful.
Statutes to manage human behavior
In a bid to manage climate change, and with the realization that climate change is an outcome-driven by individual human beings across the world, there have been statutes implemented to govern the behavior of communities. The changes devised are a conglomeration of control to the lifestyle of people in communities. These statutes sought to encourage human beings to change their behavior patterns in the various organizations and therefore help to reduce changes in the climate across the world.
The implementation of these policies was deemed a failure and they were not executed to effectiveness. Human beings are creatures of habit. A change in the different habits in the general populace across the world has not been realized. The expectation that climate change will be arrested by engaging the whole human populace to adhere to a specific set of rules which did not yield the expected outcomes in communities (Allard, 2021). The proposed statutes sought to encourage a minimalistic approach to living and which would reduce the worldwide perception of mass human interactions. These laws were not effective and they did not realize the purpose intended, that is to improve reduce emissions in the world.
Future Prospects of Management of Climate Change
To endorse and realize better outcomes in communities and across the world concerning the idea of climate change, the following measures can be adopted.
Educating the public on climate change
Climate change is a commonly perceived agenda that all human beings across the planet have been exposed to the relevance of the control and management of climate change in communities. Future measures to curb climate change will be realized if the message to change climate change is shared as a responsibility (Corry, 2017). Present trends in sharing information related to the necessity of climate change are tied to the dangers of past behaviors and indications of the actions that have put the world on an edge concerning climatic changes observed.
The information depicted includes drylands, burning fossil fuels, and the huge factories putting off waste on resources. This information makes climate change a precarious task. Communities perceive the idea of climate change as an unmanageable problem and which lies beyond the ability of individual human beings. The alternate approach can be adopted to teach communities the various activities in which they can engage in, and which will lead to a reduction of global climate change (Orgill et al., 2019). An encouragement of minor activities that can be handled by all people in communities will encourage them to put up ab action to help mitigate the deterioration of climate change.
Use of renewable energy sources
One of the major causes of climate change is the use of nonrenewable sources of energy, especially fossil fuels. Measures that can be used in the future to help manage climate change are the use of renewable sources of energy. The primary source of renewable energy is the sun. With the unlimited renewable source of energy from the sun, communities will realize an improvement in climate change (Cavicchioli et al., 2019). Other sources of renewable sources of energy include hot springs and the generation of electricity using gravity and wind. With these measures in place, the trends of climate change will be reversed, as there will be minimum emissions to the environment.
Conclusion
Climate change is a potential threat to the existence of human beings and living things on planet earth. There is a need to have measures to mitigate the increasing deterioration of climate change. Previous attempts taken to control climate change have proven to have not realized major success. Successful measures in the control of climate change have been the planting of trees and the use of hybrid and electric vehicles. Unsuccessful efforts to manage climate change was the implementation of statutes governing behavior that would lead to a reduction in climate change. Prospects aimed at the improvement of climate is education to the public and the use and development of renewable energy.

I think everyone should be made aware about it especially at the grass root level who authorizes the license to vehicle owner to big corporate houses to run factories and industries without caring the future generation's need. It was well said in this video that a finite world/ planet cannot have infinite. We (every individual) should take the ownership to protect the planet Earth. Our motto should be "Our World" not "My World". There should be "Collaboration" not "Competition" among nations and finally there should be "Equity" not "Disparity" within a nation. If the concerned Government takes care of all these things then I can be rest assure that even after 10,000 years the temperature will not rise by even 1degree C.

Do you think emissions and pollution stop within a country's borders? this applies to everyone everywhere. For 30 years, companies have moved their production to China to make more money. At the same time, they have exported all emissions to China. Although in the end, it is yours and my cosumtion that is shooting down in China. yet US and European emissions per capita are significantly higher than those of the Chinese. But China needs to clean up and they make far more than the United States to build new cleaner electricity production.
If all the people that really believes that the temperature rises because of the CO2 emission, start to follow the advices of the experts, I think we should manage to get this problem under control.
The people that does not believe it, may then go on driving their cars, flying around the world and continue to eat meat.

I think China was right when they said it came from infected fish. Scientist have warned us for years that covid19 like viruses are on plastic thrown in the ocean and fish nibbling or eating the pieces of the plastic could infect the fish and be passed it on to humans.
Suggestion: How universal health systems handle the current coronavirus pandemic compared to the broken private health system of the United States? Please do an extensive, fair and scientific analysis for these 2 systems in full episode that can be used as reference.
Was there anyone in the US who was not treated if they had Covid-19? Was anyone left on the street to die from it, that went for help? Granting that some people most likely received very large bills for medical care for Covid, will any of them go to jail for not being able to pay? US healthcare is and has been a mess, but that can truly be said of any country you cite. Most of those countries and the US all seem to be able to ensure that their populations were able to get assistance for this disease. So this particular pandemic isn't a good 'thought exercise' for healthcare overall imo. You can however look at plenty of less developed countries with various ways of dealing with health issues (this pandemic in particular) and draw some basic conclusions around type of governernance and rights protections of the people.
We need to be alert to climate change and try to address it and not harm future generations.

If we want to effectively tackle these problems, what we need is to focus only on measures that have a real impact
1) distance tax: a tax that increases the longer the goods are shipped or transported- this incentivizes a local economy and stops the mess of goods running around the world for no reason.
2) female education- the more educated the less children they will have, as overpopulation is a huge problem
3) tackle income inequality- tax the super wealthy and the multinationals, make them pay the right share, no more tax avoidance or producing in countries with lower regulations. Big companies need the most resources and make up the biggest polluters, so local and smaller is better.
4) universal basic income so people dont have "to make a living" at any cost and follow their passions- no damaging, stupid or unnecessary work
5) make hemp biodiesel (and other biodiesels) make up 30% of all fuel compulsory in the economy and make investments. Tackle food waste and make it maximal 5% of all produced. Go towards 0% fossil fuels with improved technology. Swap most plastics for hemp-derived materials
6) sustainability index- make an index of the worst environmental offender-practices. Ban those that are not needed and bring within limits those that can be made sustainable. Use taxes to incentivize/disincentivize
7) go towards a bio-adapted infrastructure such as passages for the wild under highways and so forth. Go back to natural farming, drop all intensive farming, is healthier anyway. Decrease production of animal products. Abandon chemicals, fertilizers and pesticides, all not sustainable.
8) we need a working UN back in some form, to protect areas such as the amazonas and other strategically important parts of the world for the ecology. Besides that we need first nation countries to invest in countries that are lagging behind, as the investment would yield much greater results. This is a global challenge.
9) drop all the measures that wont make any difference and accept that we cant control it 100% at this point. Maybe there are some benefits in a warmer climate too.

Yes! This is what's needed. I just addressed some of those issues in my own reply further up, and am glad to see your sensible, proactive and doable suggestions. 25 years ago, a car that used hemp oil as fuel was driven around the USA and made a few stops in Canada. In Toronto, I spoke to the 2 men who drove it, and they said that the only modification they had to make to the engine was to replace the cork gaskets with rubber ones. It was a station wagon, so they carried the fuel on the roof and in the back, and more fuel was sent ahead by train to stops along their route. I was enthused by this greener alternative.
Unfortunately, that idea didn't catch on then, mostly due to the powerful oil and gasoline industry blocking it (i.e. lobbyists finding loopholes, and financial contributions made behind the scenes), similar to the earlier electric cars developed at the turn of the last century. *_Hemp_* has also been made into both hard and malleable "plastic" to replace toxic, non-biodegradable, petroleum-based plastics. Hemp "plastic" bags (for shopping purchases) have been around for 20 years, but retailers refused to pay the slightly higher price (than plastic), that would have gone down as more bought and used them.
Another issue is the proliferation of _fast fashion,_ mostly made of non-biodegradable, petro-chemicals like polyester, nylon, acrylic and Spandex. They are cheaply made, fall apart easily, and most ends up in landfill sites. They tap into the ever-changing fashion trends that people buy and wear for a season or two, then dispose of. Natural fibres like hemp are more sustainable, don't require toxic pesticides, and last longer. Ropes used on ships have beeen made of hemp for centuries. The booming, American cotton industry, sensing a threat from hemp farming, used the argument that cannabis/hemp was a "drug" and pressured the government to ban it, which it did in 1937 (under the Marijuana Tax Act), effectively killing their competition.
