I was very close to buying this bass a couple of years ago, it's the prettiest jazz I've ever seen even to this day. But I went for the 55-02 instead. Don't regret it. I'm still a little salty that I don't have this looker though lol.
I enjoy watching your videos and just want to say, you make life a little more enjoyable my friend. Great looking bass and color. Your choice of creme stacked Fralins sound and look sweet as pie. I was wondering how you feel they compare to DiMarzio ultra jazz pickups, and are they compatible or worlds apart in your opinion ?
Thanks JF the fralin has a natural tone bit where the dimarizo has a different bottom tone and the top tone sre a little brittle..but in a much weighted bass evens out

JDBLLL....dont discount the LA1x12 for that clarity input into the tone....

That bass really sound great with multiple notes ringing simultaneously. My standard fender basses get muddy doing that.
Why you put lindy fralins on all of your jazz basses?
I just put the same preamp in with some Bass Mods Big Fatty PUPS in my SX!! She bops!!!!!!!!!
I have the newer 5 string version of this bass.. did the battery fit in the cavity ok
