I am having the same issue and can't find any instructions on removing them. Since they are plastic I am afraid of breaking them. I will be sending them back and it will change my review on Amazon

Same problem over here. I ended up trimming down the plugs that come with the Amazon taillights. Removed the old plugs from the truck bed.
Then trimmed the new ones till they jammed in the factory holes.
The factory taillight holes are way too small for the amazon plugs.
Once everything fit flush I just sent the screws in.
Make sure all ur wiring behind the taillights isn’t fighting ur taillight from going in either.
Another thing I did was re loomed all the wiring to protect it from corrosion. Here in northern Ontario snow and salt loves to get thrown up behind the taillight.
Hence why the inside of the box rusts before the outside!
      Hope this helps

Do not buy these they are poor quality and the reverse lights don’t screw in at all
