- I was not liking the space eating buttstock of my Henry AR-7. So, I set out on an adventure to create a slimmer , yet compact design. The finished product was not only cool, but it was better than I expected I hope you enjoy the video and thank you for watching/.
I think every one should own an ar 7 plus the skys the limit on how you can personalize them and the aftermarket support is growing.
I agree, they are truly a marvelous piece of work. It's a solid gun with capabilities that go beyond it's design/ Thank you for taking the time to comment, i appreciate it.
Came out great, just like the James Bond spec from the original Sean Connerry films.
We can all agree Sean Connery was one of the best. Thank you for that compliment. I'm glad you liked the video and thank you for taking the time to watch and comment.
Looks great, kinda reminds me of a star wars blaster with the cheekpiece and scope.
You just raised it to a hyper cool level, Thank you for watching.
That is a good looking handle!
Is that a metaphor? Lol,, thank you
Now I know things! Thank ya!
I would love to have a fraction of the knowledge you have
Great video! What scope are you using?
A Simmons 4x15.i wanted to keep it as streamlined as possible to have the ability to fit the pack. Here in Indiana we have mostly small game, so the shots are within 30 yards . Thanks for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it.
At least you can still use it In it’s original configuration 👍🏽
My wife was glad for that, lol I still use the original package when I go kayaking. It fits well in the hull. Think you for taking the time to watch the video and leave a comment, I appreciate that.
Way better before...looks like some fancy coat hanger now and there is no storage space. Why???
@@bultacowally I needed it to fit inside a bug out bag with minimal space. The original buttstock just didn't allow me that. My goal in any project like this is to not modify it to a point that it can't be used in original condition. The wire stock just merely gives me another option. It goes with me in the original buttstock when I go kayaking or camping. I do appreciate the comment and thank you for taking the time to do that.
This is AWESOME!!! Love the finish! I've got one of these I'm looking into modifying as well. What size bolt did you use to attach the grip to the receiver?
Sorry for not getting back sooner. Thank you, it's a1/4-20x4 1/4" I wish you the best of luck.
I love it. I'm trying to get 8 inch threaded barrel. Can't find it.
Thank you Aaron, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I want aware of different barrels lengths being available, that's interesting. I wish you the best and thank you for watching the video.
@garymichael45 but I'd buy it. I keep emailing website that sells aftermarket barrels for Henry AR-7, but they won't even respond.
@@Aaron-ro4kv Check state and federal regulations. I'm guessing a barrel that long would make it a handgun. I'm not familiar with all the changes that have been made to the laws and every state is different. I just don't want the ATF knocking on your door.
Pretty cool 👍🏽
Thank you, it was a really fun project
👍
Thanks
glad you got rid of the stupid obnoxious intrusive music for this video! why do people think they have to include music in a video is beyond me!
It was something new to try, it's like a shiny toy . Lol
Yes that's my problem what I've noticed is documentaries on unsolved mysterys the ones that have little to no music or sound scapes tend to be more truthful(so the more boring the more educational) and the ones full of music and loud sound scapes are full of fluff and filler (b.s.) so keep em boring that's how you can tell.
Henry AR10?
Did I flub on some information?
Not at all
be carful fortnite might steal the gun idea
Ha, you see, this is why I don't get left alone for long periods of time... Because now I want to make an apacolyptic rifle.
Do you know how I can get a suppressor on the ar7?
Interesting idea... the first thought would be to thread the barrel. I am not a gunsmith by any means. I have heard of guys tinkering with such a thing on 22.'s., there is an accuracy and loss of energy problem.
@@garymichael45 I found an adapter on the net for $30
I want to use a suppressor for both.. .22 and CVA scout blackout. Switch between the 2
Ha, I bought a Scout when they first came out. I definitely need to do that video. I can be open to liability, so I have to be careful how
I respond to post. I admire your creativity and forward thinking. It is the thinkers that control their destiny.
