      This group of people are such a joke 🤣 yeah it's strictly white individuals who have an issue with racism, totally not all the people of other races who constantly talk about white people in a derogatory way based solely on their own perception of a skin color.
      All groups can literally be just as racist, the whole power dynamic argument is an excuse for an individuals own racism.

      You're not the only one. I see that too. I also see the words poor, welfare, gang and minority being automatically stuck to black people as well. I actually got reamed on Facebook for having a discussion about different gangs that infiltrate the military to get training to bring back to members. I linked a wiki article that had a list of them all ranging from bikers, MS-13, bloods and crips to the Yakuza. The people that tried to play the white knight BS heard the word gang and immediately equated it with black people.

My only issue is the people who go out of their way in daily life just to be a-holes to anyone, fat people included. Because, let's face it, those type of people really don't give two flying f's about someone else's health, they just want to put down someone else to put themselves up a little.

I also am not going to feel bad for not be attracted to really fat women. I am not talking about a slightly chubby curvy lady ... @@chorleycc I think most people in general have a bit of a mean streak and lack of empathy in some regard. While most of us would never admit it to ourselves, there's a mean part in all of us that likes to make us feel better about ourselves at someone else's expense. To feel 'better than'. Whether humans care to admit it or not, while we can care for others, we are very much a self centered race of creatures. I personally don't care what someone finds attractive or not; I have enough to keep me busy without requiring that sort of shallow validation. To each their own; I have my own preferences, just like anyone else, and don't feel the need to be judged by someone else for them. That is a beautiful way of putting it and I agree. Don't get me wrong I am no Brad Pit myself. True beauty does lie within.
      I just think it can be mean to encourage obesity that's all. I think there are parts of the body positivity moving that basically are encouraging bad choices. It can't be mean to want somebody you like or love to be healthier. Even if it means saying some potentially hurtful things. Tough Love it was once referred to as.
      I can't say I agree with the comments in generally around the Human Race. We have achieved a great amount and I don't we could have achieve this without a sense of community, society and caring. All over species it is survival of the fittest. We have created a world where someone with a disability physical or mental can be provided for with housing, food, etc with taxpayers money. In the UK (where I am from) we have around 12 million people (out of 70 million) on welfare of some kind. Some for legitimate reasons some not so much but ultimately they are cared for and funded by the public.

    to others i'm either an "oppressed" WOC or a privileged white girl, which erases my ethnicity. well i'll let u know now i'm not oppressed hun
    AND i'm a full time student who also works full time at starbucks. we get paid well. we get free school if we choose to, and all you have to do is work an AVERAGE of 20hrs/week for free college. if they overwork you and its hurting your mental health, you can talk to your DM. if your DM wont listen (dont see why they wouldnt), talk to your regional manager. literally someone would help. change your availability bro you dont have to bear the weight of being understaffed, try sticking up for yourself for once.
    edit: we also get 12 free therapy sessions a year with starbucks. we are given so many resources, try using them.

      I had no idea about any of that! I never finished college because i was so burnt out taking care of my sick father and my young son. I've regretted it and now that my son is old enough to be home alone and my dad has unfortunately passed away I've been wanting to go to school so badly and trying to figure out the best way to afford it since I'm in the process of buying a house. Is there an age limit on the employees that they offer free schooling to that you know of? Also, do you know what the contract is for employees who receive it? Like how long you have to continue to work there? With the employment history and experience I've accumulated over the years I've never considered working at starbucks but i certainly would do it for free school.

      I had two or three hispanic-heritaged pale-skinned friends. Awesome people, great families. Race/ethnicity was never a talking point except the initial "wait, you are?".

    • @gillian3510
      @gillian3510 Před rokem +1

      @@kL-vs6wz i don't believe there is an age limit on it. it's called the Starbucks College Achievement Plan. starbucks partners with Arizona State University Online, so you take online classes at ASU and Starbucks covers your tuition. there is a limit on the tuition per year or semester, but i cant remember the fine print. if you look up the SCAP program you may be able to find more information. the only things i really pay for are textbooks.
      it's the reason i joined starbucks myself! if you're able to get an interview, i'd 100% bring up during, that you're very interested in the program, and the store manager can likely tell you more about it or give you resources to look into it.
      they'll have you work for about three months, and over that time period you must work avg 20hr/week in order to qualify and further keep the benefit. aside from that, to maintain it, you just have to keep good grades.
      i'm not really sure, if one was to quit, how long the benefit would remain. i'd assume that for example, i quit starbucks in the middle of a semester, they'd probably pay for that semester but nothing further since you would no longer be a partner. i'm not sure about it though, i'd really reccommend talking to a store manager who can provide more resources for you, and looking it up on the internet.
      working here can be exhausting and it's definitely a learning curve to some positions, but it's totally worth it for the education, and it is honestly fun a lot of the time. i'd totally reccommend it :)

But related in terms of the kind of mentality demonstrated by the TikTokers you exposed here Woke is a religion and encompasses the need to criticize absolutely everything that is seen as “not inclusive” until it clearly turns in on itself. The term someone in my earlier discussion used as a catchall for this mentality is: Moral Narcissists. We already get there narcissism and we see them think they are on the moral high ground. Moral Narcissists is a descriptor that needs to be used whenever any of us on any related issue are exposing this mindset.
