Stress induced schizophrenia is a thing. I'm 36 and have it.
Under stressful scenarios I can hear people yelling, babys crying, animals crying in pain, heavy traffic and car accidents, sirens....police, fire and ambulance. I can never clearly hear individual voices it's always like a room full of people. Minute 17:12 is the most heartbreaking speech to hear Ethan say after everything Trisha is saying about him now. He is gassing her up in the sweetest way and saying how Trisha is so lovely. Then she says “if we ever have a falling out I’ll just join the Logang” and it just shows how he always rides so hard for her, supported her, disliked anyone who hurt Trisha - and she can’t even reply with a nice heart wining respond like a normal person and then immediately defends Logan in front of him, someone who threatened him. It’s like no matter what Trisha puts up a wall because she is always ready to cut you out of her life, turn on you, weaponize all the details she learned about you during the friendship and twist the past and retell the entire story of the friendship in the most disparaging way for the other party and the most victimizing/ angelic/ morally superior light on herself. And I found this podcast because I was a TRISHA fan.
It's hard to argue with that analysis even if it is harsh. What a sad situation.
