When I was in High School 1975-78, My grandpa would say,. "We need to work on the Fences today" To my brother and I it was worse than going to the dentist,. You guys make fencing look like fun.

Brian and Cole make fencing look so easy, it amazes me how quickly you two can build fence. That new Milwaukee is definitely a game changer.
They have a plan, tools, equipment and work well as a team.
The fence post driver on that skid steer is the biggest game changer. Where I live in Georgia, you would have to sharpen the ends of those poles first. This stuff is like concrete, especially in the summer.
I purchased a dewalt 9 Guage fence staple gun...that is a game changer as a Vineyard owner and operator.. One simple trigger pull and the 9 Guage staple is in....works same as a framing nailer. Tool is battery operated...
I can fertilize all my vines..(We fertilize by hand 3.5 acres of grapevines..). and fix wires that came off posts in a single day. The right tools for the job really make a difference!

Good Saturday morning Sonne Farms. Just dropping in again to express my appreciation for all you do working with dirt - our most important resource - giving people an alternative to ordering food from "direct to your doorstep" companies that deliver food in cardboard boxes, which inevitably have their contents spoiled by the rain. As for me, this morning at breakfast, my top hand Ezekiel was complaining that the coming storms were bothering his knee again - and sure enough we had a gully washer. I told him, "That's something you gotta expect in August - but because you've been with the family for so long and you're so good at your job, go ahead and take the rest of the day off - give you a chance to enjoy a full weekend like everybody else - both Saturday and Sunday. God bless and have a great weekend. .

I Love You Guys, that's just the truth! As much as I prefer the older ways, I know that it was the advent of CZcams that allowed me to see a great Family and farming system of life still alive!! I think that that same platform that Brian allowed Cole to show us is why it is so special and even more impressive! The other points I wanted to comment on I won't, I've already spoke too much but, I also Loved seeing Grandma at the end, had to add that!!
This family gives you hope for America. Even though Brian is mean to Cole, he has provided him a way to feed his upcoming family.

I didn't know how to reply so I just didn't at all. People are just raised so different now in most of the Country much less elsewhere.

You have a great Mom Brian and Cole has a great Grandmother.
Grandma 's are the best, back in the days they did a lot on the farm from baking fresh bread and making mash potatoes and a chicken for dinner at noon to a roast at Sunday dinner at noon And GMA would run errands for everyone on the farm and even drive tractor back home because the kids weren't old enough to drive and didn't want to get caught. Looks like you had a great birthday Brian and wish you many more in the years to come !

Hello what a difference now putting up fence than in the 70s. I've dug anchor post and posts by hand carried barb wire by hand to string it out. Pulled fence wire with fence jack was so labour intense and all day job as to what you did in short time. I'm sure Brian you know what I am talking about. Great job gentlemen have a great day.

Brian, excellent song of the day. I have to be honest, we didn't have a slamigan or a post driver. "Well a hand post driver" so fencing to me when I was younger wasn't as much fun. Sad that you only got a quarter inch of rain, but it’s better than nothing. Let’s hope Mother Nature decides to end the drought for all the places that have the issue…and maybe stop the rain from flooding all those other places with too much rain. Cole I was on hold with Adult Protective Services to report Mr Brian for the dual challenge slap, however when I heard you had eaten his last piece of Birthday cake I let the dual slap slide n reported you instead. LOL! 😅
And when you said yep you were your Dad's son I wondered if you knew just how closely you resemble him. For example when you put down the ramps at the back of the trailer, you both wipe your hands in the very same manner, so yeah you're definitely Mr Brian's son. I often heard "You're your father's daughter" for similar things n it's quite sentimental to know.

Glad you folks are getting some timely rains since it was so dry this spring. It was really dry here this year as well with almost no measurable rain in June. Lucky for us SaskDutch Kid started silage a couple weeks ago and wouldn’t you know it has been raining on and off ever since. Looks like they pushed through it just fine so that is good as well.

Happy birthday Brian, wish we had some of those tools and equipment growing up, I remember digging post holes with a hand auger type post hole digger and using the tractor or heavy jack to tighten the wire.
Me too. Hand driving t posts. Carrying the rolls of wire, fighting the strainers, losing the pliers and being sent out to find them before dinner.
