The way the last group looked at you... You got your answer my friend. You are the alien 😂😂😂😂
Hahaha yes!!!

This reminds me a bit of our Canaidan autumn. You're right though late autumn and early spring are not the most attractive things
Yes! These times of the year make ugly neighborhoods appear much worse than they are
Wow! Great work Sam! The place looks more like an abandoned area, even if it is inhabited! Unfortunately places like this, and not only in Russia, are
sometimes abandoned by the local public administrations, which doesn't even collect the rubbish! People seems a little bit more glomy than in the city centre except the disabled man who was really kind and energetic! A nice man. Wonderful video! Thank you very much❤
Unfortunately this place is not abandoned!!! But it is very depressing! The weather doesn’t help either! I always wait for your comments. Have a great week.
@@SamsRussianAdventures Thank you very much Sam
In Canada you could find many places like that, like Windsor, Hamilton, Regina, Winnipeg, a lot of areas in and around Toronto, low income and collapsed deindustrialized neighborhoods. You would be surprise.
Every city has these good and bad areas! Though when I think of Canada, I have the stereotypical impression of cabins in the forests! 🌳
Great video Sam thanks for all your hard work 👍👍👍
Perhaps the question wasn’t the best one to ask but it was a tough audience!!!

The word alien refers to a foreign person in a different context, so in a sense you're one Sam! 😅
I’m an alien, I’m a legal alien, I’m an Englishman in Vladimir!
Sam asks about "инопланетяне", which means "extraterrestrials", not about "пришельцы" which refers to "aliens"

I lived in Moscow in the 1990s, Sokol, Leningradskiy prospect, and the children's swings were just as broken down there.
I went to a German owned DIY shop bought a litre of yellow, blue, white and red lead free paints and 2 litres of primer and stripped back and painted them all then made new seats for the swings. They looks fantastic when I finished them. I have 2 children at that stage aged 3 and 1 years old.
90% of people in the flats asked my wife why her husband was fixing the swings when it was not his job to do so. The problem with Russians back then (in Moscow) and today in the provinces is that they don't think that their own back yard is their problem, it is the responsibility of the "authorities". Two other mothers (out of 20) said thanks for making the communal swings nice again. The inside of their apartment might be very well decorated but the podyest (shared lobby) smells of stale cats' piss and the communal entrance door is plastered with 30 years of glue and paper from people advertising everything from pizza delivery to piano lessons.
All it would take to make the town in the video nice is a lick of paint, some cheap gravel as a base for those swings and a bit of respect for their immediate neighbourhood. It will come, but it will take some time.
I see the same thing today in England and often hear local people calling Britain trash country and wanting to move to Russia. The problems here are much worse than the broken swings in Russia in the 90s. You better find out how they lived in Britain in the 50s.
Haha, lived exactly there too at that period of time) But basically whole Moscow was that way. But the first consequence of this mentality was that those swings were broken in the first place. If people don't consider city's property their own they don't feel responsible not only for repairing things (it's still would be considered unusual) but for keeping things intact. This attitude was a part of late soviet mentality and thankfully it's going away
Wow, now that’s a place in serious need of redevelopment! Great to see you back Sam.

You live in a place with almost 400k people....that isnt a small town.
It’s Russia’s 43rd or 73rd biggest city, depending on which list you look at.
If you made the same type of video in the U.S., you would probably get the crap kicked out of you and your things stolen.
I’ve seen a lot of videos in America. This isn’t a dangerous area, just run down.
@@SamsRussianAdventures In America run down=dangerous.
maybe ask them how they feel about president Putin is going for an other term
Sure. I’ll add it to this list! Thanks for your suggestion! It’s difficult to ask political questions with a foreign accent but I’ll give it a go.
They feel good, don't worry
Video - hype... 🤔
Took a wrong turn? Walking around a dump is going in the wrong direction. Depressing for sure.
It’s just a sad part of town. Wouldn’t like to live there! But I try to show a bit of everything.
@@SamsRussianAdventures It is supposed to be русскоговорящий. You have been here in Russia for eighteen years, it is only one word!
Maybe u got used to it, maybe u r ok with it, but it will never be OK with me the way they ignore you or ask you to do what they want eg: turn off the cam or something, and maybe u can say that's their mentality well I don't like this mentality
I tried to make a video in the UK and everyone refused to speak to me on the street! So I think it’s not just a Russian thing!
i didnt say its only a russian thing , it doesnt matter where u r . people should be nice mate . sad to see such thing , im glad the new generation is BETTER and open minded about many things in life nowadays imo @@SamsRussianAdventures
