- Food halls are the newest trend in Las Vegas and an amazing one has opened in the southwest side of the valley in the Sundry Food Hall. Restauranteurs, along with celebrity chef Michael Mina, have put together a relaxed and casual food hall with some top notch talent from the culinary world. Over twelve eateries and bars are available as well as two full service sit down restaurants. The Sundry is here to make a splash in Las Vegas and I'm here to try as much food as possible! I hope you enjoy my look into the Sundry Food Hall!

What would you try if you visited the Sundry Food Hall?
The sliders
1) I'd say the sliders and crinkle cut fries look the best.
2) Overcooked chicken strips absolutely ruin the dish completely for me regardless of how good the batter tastes.
Strip pricing makes it unlikely I'd eat there, even though it is on my way to Red Rock Casino.
All if you are taking me😁
@Deb K yes! That's probably my go to choice as well!
@@TheJayhawker83 agree with your points!
$39 for a Lobster roll? Whoever priced that is out of their mind. That's more expensive than AYCE KBBQ or Sushi. I mean $7 more and you can go to the Wynn's Weekday Brunch Buffet LOL. Insane.
Just to put it in context,...my girlfriend and I flew from Baltimore to Denver (nonstop) on Southwest this spring for $49 each way. I agree $39 is insane.
For that price he could have bought 5 pints of ice cream.
Yeah, the Sundry is very expensive. Strip prices off strip. I can't recommend this for tourists in terms of value. If you're a regular visitor of Las Vegas and you've done it all, or you're a local with deep pockets, the Sundry is definitely a cool place to eat. But I'll personally be at Panda Express lol. Thanks for watching Tony!
@@VegaswithShin For $39 I expect MUCH higher quality than that slop
What a nice option. Can’t go wrong with a delicious chicken strip basket. So glad you are able to review these places. Not for everyone but you give us all a “eyes open view”. Your efforts are always appreciated and your opinions are valued.
Appreciate the kind words! Thank you very much!
Good place for a review. Thanks, Shin!
Glad you liked it Shawn! Thanks for watching!
Shin - you are a natural at this! Thank you for your thoroughness, professionalism, and honesty. I am going to give it a try later this week.
I appreciate that, thank you! I had good food here, and I hope you do as well! Thanks for watching!
Very well done Shin ! Enjoyed at looking at all the food . Nothing really jumped out to me though but at least now I know . Thanks again Sir !
Glad you enjoyed it! CZcams has really made me keep my eyes open on the culinary scene here in Vegas and I really enjoy the experiences and bringing them to you all on CZcams. Thanks for watching Kyle!
Thanks for taking the time to review and try this new place Shin!
Agree with other comments this is way to expensive, with so many local eateries you can get the same quality food for cheaper.
Wonder if you can do more local mom / pop eateries?
Yes, the Sundry is expensive. It's clearly targeting an affluent crowd. I do have plans to do more local restaurants starting next year. I have the rest of this year scheduled out with a lot of new restaurants that are opening on the strip. Thanks for watching!
great review Shin :) another one :)
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching!
I guess when you call it a food hall instead or court you get to hike the price up🥰
Which is funny because traditionally, isn't a court nicer than a hall lol? Thanks for watching!
Another great video Shin 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you very much!
Another Wonderful Video
Thank you very much JB!
All looks Delish!!! I will try it out..
Nice! I hope you enjoy your visit David! Thanks for watching!
Hey Shin, wow those chicken strips looked good. Good variety there, sliders and crinkle cut yaa.
going to be in Vegas in 24hrs. Can't wait!
Hell yeah! I hope you have a fantastic trip!
the shrimp was my favorite plus the lobster roll ty for the review
They were both very tasty! Thanks for watching Claire!
Love me some lobster rolls. Thanks Shin for putting us onto Sundry.
Yes! I hope you enjoy your visit! Thanks for watching!
great video...agree with the comments about the absurd $39 lobster roll price! also appreciate you being transparent about your preference for a McD mcrib vs the one you had here lol...keep up the great content!
Objectively, the rib sandwich here tasted better. The pork was better quality. The BBQ sauce had more depth of flavor. But nostalgia is the world's most delicious spice and it's more preference of what I personally like eating. I know the McRib recently had their final final final goodbye tour, but it's back in some midwest states right now. If I had the time and the money to fly, I would genuinely think about going out there to get a bunch lol. The lobster roll was really the most surprising item in terms of price. I thought the rest of the menu may be a tad pricey but for its location, not awful. $15 for a burger slider combo with side and sauce seems like a pretty standard price for this kind of place nowadays. Glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for watching!
I'd definitely try the shells with the vodka sauce.
I think that was my favorite overall during my 3 days at the Sundry! Thanks for watching!
I kind of lost you when you raved about the McRib. Especially compared to a REAL pork sandwich. I now wonder about your palette Shin 😮
LOL! I do not claim any kind of superior tastebuds in any way, nor do I come from a culinary background outside of working at Häagen-Dazs in high school and Dennys in college. That said, the ribwich at the Sundry objectively tastes better than the McDonald's McRib. But nostalgia is the strongest spice for me, and that's more of what I'm referring to. Thanks for watching Julie!
I agree - very pricey, but I'm going to try the food!!! YUM!!!!!!
Nice! I hope it's good for you when you try it! Thanks for watching Lars!
Shin! Knocking out of the park by highlighting off strip noteworthy food with an international flair!
Appreciate that! Glad you enjoyed the video!
EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD. BUT A LIL PRICEY FOR ME. I LOVE CHEAP EATS😆. THANKS FOR SHARING, KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK 👍🏼😁😋
Yes, I'd say one of the seriously expensive options I've tried on the channel. $40 for a lobster roll when I could get into a buffet or get a decent steak is some of the highest price points I've seen making CZcams videos. But if one has the money, the food was delicious. Thanks for watching Tracey!
Another great video! Where was that guy going with the tree behind you??? 😆😂
Lmao! I just noticed that!
Round one the shrimp and rice and salad round two the vodka sauce round three the sliders and the crinkle cut sweet potato fries yum❤❤
On the money with that Lori. They were so good! Thanks for watching!
Day #2 you definitely ordered all my favorite foods. Im a sucker for anything bbq with pickles and onions in it, i do like a tangy vinegary sauce though. I feel like the best deal overall looked like the sliders....some of those prices....yikes. on day #1 what was with that guy behind you moving the whole tree?!😮
The sliders were the best value. I think thy vodka shells were solid as well. I don't know what he was doing with the tree! Lmao. Thanks for watching!
Hi Shin! My husband and I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and have really been loving your content! Would you ever post a Q&A video so we as viewers can learn more about you? Sorry if this question is too personal (and certainly you don’t need to answer) but what do you do for a living? It’s inspiring for us to see a fellow Asian go out and not only eat yummy food but expensive as well which is why we’re curious since we’re wanting to do that ourselves LOL
I've been asked for a Q&A by a few folks. I think I'll do one when I hit 10k subscribers. To answer your question, I'm a project manager at an art house and while I'm not rich or anything, I make enough to cover my bills and save some. So when I started CZcams, it was mostly off savings and credit. The channel generates enough now that I'm only spending $100-$200 out of pocket most months and I'm hoping I can run in the black starting next year. If you're interested in YouTubing, I say just go for it! It's a very fun hobby if nothing else and I am enjoying myself quite a bit. Thanks for watching Nessa!
What’s up Shin. Great video and Thanks for posting. How is the Chinese food in Vegas? I freaking love it. Kung Pao beef, pork fried rice, hot and sour soup, egg roll, sweet and sour chicken or pork and im in heaven. Besides bbq it’s my favorite
I love good Chinese food also! We have Spring Mountain Chinatown with fantastic Chinese food! Vegas definitely has most Asian cuisine secured in a good way here. Thanks for watching Ryan!
The shrimp looked pretty good.
The shrimp was quite good actually lol.
@@VegaswithShin it looked good 👍
Hi Shin...great review...too me, everythig was overpriced, especially the lobster roll, for $39, where was the other half of rhe rkll 😮 🤔🤣🤣🤣....glad you enjoyed yourself 😘🤗💕
LOL! Despite the prices of making CZcams videos, I do always enjoy myself and really like bringing these locations to you. This one was especially expensive however. I was not expecting that when I first went in. Thanks for watching Jade!
Hhhhhmmm difficult to choose! But I like the openness of the setting. Wondering if that chicken adobo is better than my Brother’s (and his is better than Mom’s…don’t tell her that!😮)…sounds like they didn’t overpower it with vinegar…yay! I would try the Grilled Shrimp Mediterranean dish…yummy! Thanks for sharing! I’m on a work break binge watching and getting cravings!😅
The vibe and the space were really awesome. I liked it a lot in there. Glad you're enjoying the videos! Thanks Arlene!
The chicken adobo looks pretty good. I'm very picky about chicken adobo and I wouldn't trying their version of chicken adobo one day.
I thought it was very tasty! Thanks for watching Jerry!
I think the prices are just good for the quality of the food.
Very tasty food! Value is always subjective but I did think some of the food priced very well like the vodka pasta and the slider combo. Thanks for watching!
this is a great review ,the prices are high but that is las vegas prices everything is high and it never use to be that way ,the food in las vegas was priced very fair to cheap because they wanted you to gamble thank you for the great review
Thanks frank! Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin thank you
Great video. Question: do you have to tip or is gratuity included?
Gratuity was not included and I had to tip separately. Thanks for watching!
Another great review! Had you gotten the ice cream on the same day as the rib sandwich it would have been like eating at McD's. "sorry the ice cream machine is broken" 🤣🤣🤣 Now go home and wash that shirt that you've been wearing for 3 days!!😂
Glad you liked it! Lmao! Yes very true. Why is it always broken?? Get me hooked as a child and torment me later lol. And I own 40 of these shirts with similar shorts. I bought them in bulk to live my life as a cartoon character. Life can go beyond your normie perceptions Ed! Expand your mind! Thanks for watching!
All of the food looked appetizing. Do you think the price point is too high since it's not easily accessible from the resort corridor?
The prices are incredibly high. I wouldn't recommend this for tourists. Paying strip prices, you may as well stay on the strip. I did enjoy the food though. I love that making CZcams videos have given me the opportunity to try places like the Sundry. But I'll personally still be taking my lunches at Panda Express lol. Thanks for watching Deb!
Food looks amazing but you mentioned work. What do you do for work?
I'm a project manager for an art house. Thanks for watching!
Nice off strip Food Hall 🙂
but those are strip prices 😮
Exactly. The food was delicious. It was very expensive. Thanks for watching panjo!
Go Shinster. The man.
Thanks mafatone! My man!
another great review Shin, but I think I would opt to add a little more money and get a buffet. If I wasn't a lot hungry, in and out burgers, or a pizza would take care of my belly growling. Take care buddy
Yes, the Sundry is very expensive. I'm with you in that I'd probably opt for a buffet with that money, especially as a tourist. I am still thinking about the vodka shells though. $20 for that dish I'll probably return for sometime. Thanks for watching!
Based on the location I assume they're targeting locals but they are charging strip prices. It all looked good but the two slider combo was probably the most reasonable deal.
You're right on the money. I don't think they're trying to get tourists here. The southwest is a pretty affluent neighborhood, and this is also a 10 minute drive from Summerlin. Personally, if I were to return off camera, I'd get the sliders or the vodka shells. Thanks for watching!
Quality chefs quality food quality prices I’d would of ate two lobster rolls
Yes the food was very good. I enjoyed my lunches here. Thanks for watching Scott!
FYI Urth cafe has the best berries and cream vanilla cake. 😊🍰
Good to know! I'll try when I go to Urth! Thanks!
Shin!!! Are you Korean?! Love your videos - feel like I know you!
I am indeed! Happy to hear you're enjoying the videos. Thanks for watching!!
While everything looked good it did seem a bit pricey. Taking a Uber there and back from the strip makes it too expensive for the experience
I would agree. I can't recommend this one for tourists. Paying strip prices, you may as well stay on the strip. But for locals in the area with deep pockets, they have another elevated dining option. I'll personally be at Panda Express though lmao. Thanks for watching David!
It is a bit pricy for off-strip. But if you are there, it does look good for the most part.
Very pricey for off strip, but I think the Sundry is catering the affluent locals from the southwest and Summerlin as opposed to tourists. The food was good! I have to give credit where credit is due. Thanks for watching Robert!
Yqw, Shin...sry for the typos 😤...blind in one eye, didn't see the typos until now 🤦...usually I reread to make sure there are no typos 🤣🤣🤣
no problem!
This looks more upscale than Aria and Cosmo Food Halls.
I would agree that aesthetically and vibe-wise, it did feel more upscale. Very modern and clean lines. I liked it a lot in there. Thanks for watching Igloo!
Everything was way overpriced especially the lobster roll. DIdn't look like any of the food was worth the pices.
Very expensive. I don't think I'll be able to be a regular diner here. Had fun making the video though! Thanks for watching Carl!
I think we have enough high end spots around town, would have been nice if this was more of a traditional food hall
I agree Jason. Thankfully, right across the street from the Uncommons at Durango Station later this year, there will be a new food hall and I think it's going to be a very popular place in the southwest and it's supposed to be relatively reasonable. I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks for watching!
lobster roll looks good, but @ 39 bucks I'd be tempted to just double the budget and go hit a buffet with ayce lobster, crab and shrimp. I imagine that's probably an issue for eateries in Vegas.
Yes, the lobster roll was abnormally expensive. Other items were certainly more in line price wise like the slider combo and the vodka pasta. I agree, for the price of the lobster roll you can make it into the AYCE Lobster Wednesday buffet for $25 more. Thanks for watching!
The lobster roll price is rough. That sandwich at Lobster stand at Mall of America (Twin Cities) is $20 approx.
Agreed. I think it's on par with lobster roll prices on the strip. Very expensive, but I'm happy I got to try it for CZcams lol. Thanks for watching!
I just got a new job where I'll be at the Uncommons twice a week. Those prices for what you get are so disappointing, definitely won't be eating here sadly.
The prices are very high for a local spot. If you're working there and timing forces you to eat there between meetings or something, I'd say the slider combo at $15 wasn't egregiously expensive.and they were very tasty. Thanks for watching!
39 bucks for that little lobster roll? Sucker born every minute lol
Yep, don't think I'll be ordering it again in my lifetime. Thanks for watching Keith!
Looked good but the fact that the fries were crisper than the fresh chips was disappointing. I'm a chip fiend. Lol. I really like those birdcage looking things though.
The bird cage booths are very cool! Yes, I'm also a part of team crispy chip. Thanks for watching!
Wow. I just read Sundry is closing down. What a shame :(
I just caught the news as well. Unfortunate. Thanks for watching!
Shin always appreciate your efforts on the Las Vegas food scene but that place is definitely an ATM on anybody's wallet . Looks good but way overpriced; I'd love for you to find any gems where it is not a tourist trap and it would gotten to via the LV bus system.
Yes, the Sundry is very expensive. I wasn't sure what to expect when I first heard about it. But I wouldn't even call the Sundry a tourist trap. I don't think they're catering to tourists at all, but targeting affluent locals in Summerlin and the southwest. I'm planning on YouTubing Vegas food for a long time so I'll eventually hit a lot of places and more budget friendly options near the strip will make their way onto the channel. Though quite frankly, driving to the strip the last few months to make videos has been a nightmare. F1 construction and repaving has made it really tough to get out there in any kind of timely fashion. I may be focusing off strip for a few months to regain my sanity because I've almost been rear ended like 5 times in the last month driving the strip and crazy folks cutting people off to get 1 car length ahead in an ocean of cars in a single lane is just a lot to deal with lol. Thanks for watching Al!
$39 seems too expensive for that lobster roll
I would agree. It was very expensive and I probably wouldn't get it again at that price point. Thanks for watching!
The concept is really cool but the prices is a huge pass for me. Looking forward to more of your reviews though.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching!
You need to buy a T-shirt with sleeves.
Too poor to buy sleeves. Thanks for watching!
And.....now the whole place is closed. There is only so much price the locals can handle.
Just saw the news myself
I hate food courts…they’re noisy with no privacy, uncomfortable seating and the prices are redic…..there’s a million other places to go
I'm personally of the camp that wants all buffets, no food halls in Las Vegas. But this is the trend now. Maybe it'll swing back around to buffets one day. Thanks for watching!
Full service does not mean order with a QR code. These are real restaurant prices in what looks like a glorified food court. Never on this earth would I pay $39 for a McLobster roll. Couldn't finish watching, this place looks so annoying. Thanks for the warning.
You're right, what is this type called? They run you water, beverages and the food, but they don't take your order. It's like, quazi-service? And the price point is very high. I don't think I'll personally be able to eat here too often. The slider combo and the vodka shells I may return for. They were very good and the price points not too egregious. Happy to save you the trip though, and thank you very much for watching!
@@VegaswithShin Thank you! I don't know. Half service? Glad it was tasty for you.
