  • The Ford Mondeo is sensational to drive, with a great balance of ride and handling and exemplary refinement.

    this car interior is more comfortable than BMW 5 series and Mercedes E.class but we need little change.

    I feel as though the problem with 'One Ford' is that Ford has a big share of its sales in its domestic market, in the USA. Developing cars like the Fusion and Edge for American tastes doesn't necessarily work for European markets the same way that a Fiesta or a Focus don't work as well in the US domestic market. I think Ford will be in its sweet spot when they develop cars that are high quality and good to drive (higher priorities for the EU market) and also large enough and affordable enough (US priorities to some extent). Both markets do care strongly about fuel consumption, which is something that Ford is already innovating with.

      yea the reviewer is not consistent and objective. He is already mZnipulated by the othe other paid reviews from audi vw mercedes BMW. The ionterior quality is just fine of the Moneo and more durable than the other competitors he named. They should check the interior quality after 4 years, which one will stook look fresh and easy to maintain?

    Makes me laugh, compare to a VW passat or another German make, you will be paying a lot more for a German car hence better build quality. I think new mondeo is good value for money. I got the 2017 titanium mondeo. 180bhp diesel. Very refined and excellent motorway car. You get what you pay for.

      Dean Crudgington German cars are unreliable always being in the bottom half to lowest third in major surveys like jdpower etc so build quality is not a reality unless you swoon over plastics? 👎 Also the Germans the only auto makers to deliberately make and sell filthy illegal petrol and Diesel engines from 2008-2018 so don’t talk about the total myth of German quality or expertise, reality is they are nasty money grabbing criminals taking customers for mugs.

      They defiantly need to come up with better Voice control system The sync In my Focus ST makes Me MAD !
      And the one in my Mk4 mondeo titanium X wasn't exactly brilliant either both Sony as well. #Expected better .
      The Ride wasn't bad in the mk4 mondeo
      I knocked it for not being all that but for fat 1500kg pudding it weren't bad .
      The Driving Position in the Focus is dreadful I paid to much attention to performance as opposed to getting comfy when I test drove it .
      The insignia , Well 163 cdti was a big sponge pudding and despite having the powerful Diesel engine it felt rather slow, I've looked at a 16plate insignia Sri 170 cdti without the big wheels , The touch screen seemed OK , surprised you still need to put the key in the ignition . It was roomy I'm 6ft 2" I like to sit right back Like I'm driving a low rider
      And I still managed to sit behind the drivers seat. I didn't drive it but does have 295lbs so it should be quite fruity when you need it to be . But I didn't like arm rest the e brake , The switches felt abit cheap the seat felt cheap with the height handles etc . You pay for what get .

    I used to love the Mondeo. It was a proper family car. But now they've made it an executive car.. I'e a twat wagon like a BMW or Audi. The sort you see tailgating you on the motorway. It does look great but its lost its working class back ground which is sad. Least the Focus is there to take over

    • @Destroyah32
      @Destroyah32 Před 4 lety +3

      If people are tailgating you on the motorway you’re in the wrong lane. As for the Mondeo, it’s an excellent car for the money. I’d rather look like an executive than a man that looks like he works in a barn

    I often visit carsurvey before buying a car and your German cars are THE WORST in-terms of reliability. The gorgeous Mondeo on the other hand always scores between 9/10 to 10/10 for reliability and the kit you get onboard the mondeo will put NASA to shame 😂🤣
    From 2022 will probably be the last of the Mondeo making it a future classic. Long after all those Gernan cars been re-sold on the used car market the Mondeo will be the true winner and history will reflect that. The Mondeo is a special car.
    After extensive research I'll be buying a 2.0 saloon Mondeo next week.

  • @SpeedKingHighwayStar
    @SpeedKingHighwayStar Před 8 lety +3

    What the reviews don't tell you is that the Mondeo is virtually unavailable, and its not actually a new car - its a re-skin of the old model, and its now built in Spain. I tried a number of Ford dealers to arrange a test drive of a 2-litre diesel - they all told me they don't have one and they don't know when they will ever see one. A similar farce happened in 2008 when I ordered a Mondeo in March 2008 with a June delivery date - in April they put it back to July, in May they put it back to August, and in June they put it back to Sept/Oct 2008 and not even guaranteed. So by late June 2008, I bought something else. Now in 2015 its even worse, with not even a penny of discount on list price Ford dealers can't even promise me delivery this year! Instead I can get a 2015 Passat immediately and with significant discount. At the root of the problem Ford dealer salesmen tell me that Ford Europe is losing money and the Mondeo is a loss-making venture, hence closing the Belgian factory, moving to Spain, and little output as they lose money on every one they build.

    • @markjwil
      @markjwil Před 8 lety +5

      +SpeedKingHighwayStar Not true. This car is on an all new architecture, and is not a "re-skin." Other Ford and Lincoln products share this platform also. The Mondeo (Fusion) has been on sale in the states for a few years now and it's one of the best selling cars here. I realize we have tastes in what's important to us, but I will say this car is nicely appointed and very engaging to drive.

    • @SpeedKingHighwayStar
      @SpeedKingHighwayStar Před 8 lety +2

      +markjwil
      Sorry but it certainly is true - the Mondeo, Fusion, whatever it is badged as is a re-skin. As true as eggs is eggs it is a re-skin. Various motoring journalists that have also stated this fact. What you seem to forget or simply overlook is that the Fusion really is a Mondeo and the Mondeo has been around for many years. The current version is a re-vamp of the 2007 car, some panels have been re-moulded, others are virtually the same, its just a re-hash job. You may disagree but its there for all to see and the journos say the same.

    • @markjwil
      @markjwil Před 8 lety +1

      SpeedKingHighwayStar You're faceless YouTuibe antagonism shows how much of an ass plug coward you really are. What's obvious is you have no fucking clue about cars and certainly not about this one, so GO FUCK YOURSELF!

    • @SpeedKingHighwayStar
      @SpeedKingHighwayStar Před 8 lety +10

      +markjwil I beg your pardon? No antagonism from me, the shoe seems to be on the other foot here. As for no clue about cars, its true I neither build cars nor fix them, I just drive them and do about 35,000 miles a year as part of my job, often in various cars, including 3 Mondeos, one of them exactly as the one reviewed in this review, and I can only tell you what I've seen and experienced. Other than that I know nothing I agree, but you want to be more polite mate.
