I loved Phil's villain era from 2000-2003
They couldnt make a storyline this exiting nowadays because the Internet would spoil it and reveal it .Back then its wasnt spoiled because the Internet was not as advanced as it is now
There’s a current whodunnit and plus with who shot Lucy.. those haven’t been spoiled. Wasn’t who shot Phil leaked too? Lol. They couldn’t make a storyline as good as this I agree, but simply because the show was fantastic in 2001 not because of the internet

It’s so annoying that it’s not in any of these videos, but there was a brilliant shot sequence where Phil knocked on the door of every suspects house before finishing at Lisa’s door. It was a really great piece of tv production, shame it’s been cut out of all of these uploaded clips.

Around 20m viewers tuned into the unfolding drama as one of EastEnders' most infamous storyline gripped the whole nation on BBC1 for only six weeks in March / April 2001, this storyline won the top soap award at the 2001 TV Quick Awards, after magazine readers voted Who Shot Phil? as the year's top soap storyline, the storyline also won the Most Dramatic Storyline award at the Inside Soap Awards in 2001 and was featured in heat magazine's review of the 2000s, as their 49th greatest event of the decade.

This is when eastenders was good 1999 to 2006 grant, Phil, Dan sullivan, Steve Owen, Dennis Rickman, Dirty Den, Johnny Allen after that it goes down hill in my opinion. I wish all these villains where in the square at the same time and drive the panesars out

It Reminded Me Of When Phillip Spaulding(Grant Aleksander) Was Shot By Alan Spaulding(Ron Raines) On Guiding Light In 2004-2005 And When Bobby (Patrick Duffy) Was Shot By Katherine Wentworth (Morgan Brittany/Suzanne Cupito) On Dallas In 1984 Also When J R Was Shot By Kristin Sheppard (Mary Crosby) On Dallas That Was Shocking To Me
