- A walk around my custom Honda Supercub / Honda 50. Before anyone nags me for modifying this classic, watch the video. I've made it clear that there is nothing I can't undo, and I still have all original parts. A days work and it's back to stock.. and it's mine.. and I can do whatever I want with it to make it feel safe in modern traffic.

With your hair you look like a mad scientist doing a vid about his Frankenscooter . Lol Good video and I love your engineering and mods .
I know this vid is a bit old but this bike is awesome. I hope you still have it. I just finished a Cub project and I'm in love with the ease of getting around town with her.
Oh yes. This ones a keeper.
Really Amazing I appreciate to your great efforts
Nice bike. is the leg shield original or did you buy a new on. I'm looking for one for my 1966 CM91 and I heard the repo ones don't fit to well
Hey Brent. Just saw this. Original. I bought a new one out of Cambodia or somewhere on eBay and hated for new it looked so haven't used it.
I wanna it with 50cc where can I find it
Where did you get the new front sprocket and how many teeth did it have? I was thinking about doing the exact same as you have to my 1966 cub and this video was super helpful.
Sorry - just saw this. I got it on Amazon and it says currently unavailable but title is 420 Chain 17-tooth 17mm Engine Sprocket for 50cc 70cc 90cc 110cc 125cc ATV Dirt Bike Go Kart Go-karts Pit Bike Quad
Sweet ride! Janky...lol
I'm looking at getting a Cub, but I want to do the same thing with swapping the engine and transmission. Can you give some advice on what I should look for on Dr.ATV? Or what bike/engine I need to be looking for.
Thanks so much!
I found the original order and the model I bought was "110CC_4A_T LIFAN_4_DOWN SHIFT_PATTERN KICK_ONLY" (110CC-4A-T ). I don't see it there but their store is really hard to find stuff on. The important things are that it's a 110, it's kickstart (not electric) and that it's 4 speed semi-auto as all the hondas are. After that, the hard thing is to find one with the right side cover on the right. If you look at pit bike engines / lifan engines you'll find most have the dipstick on the top of the side cover. These don't work without modifying the footpegs. You want to find one that has the dipstick lower on the side at an angle, and you'll notice that just in front of it, there is a cut out for the footpeg.
@@kefrh I did find this website, it's in the UK but this might help with any future stuff you might need. I am going back and forth on a 110cc or a 125cc. I know both need modifying (pegs like you mentioned).

@@lhop9583 those look good actually. That first pic of just the case is exactly what I'm talking about. I had to file back a tiny bit for the 110 but it's possible the 125 is exactly the same case / size so that wouldn't be a problem. When I was looking I found the 110 the best balance of power and ease. Definitely didn't want to go up to something that needed an oil cooler, but that's typically 140cc I think. I don't think I used the included intake manifold. I think the angle was wrong and I had to source something, but that wasn't hard. It's a reasonably easy project all in all, but there are some things to work out along the way.
i got my 125 Lifan with electric start from amazon.
Hi. Could you help me to understand what is the size of wheel and tire?
I don't know the exact spec, but if you look up the spec of the 1964 version of the Trail 90 (CT200) that's what they are. I'm running 2.75 tires front and rear.
the real question is- did you find the foot peg??
Nope! I knew there was something I should be holding against my kid.. I just forgot what it was :)
Needs white walls on tires
Nah. I'm a big fan of whitewalls but can't imagine it on the 50!
@@kefrh mine came with white walls ,when I bought back in 1965 and I still have it and it still has white wall but u you are happy with what u have good for you .
@@eutimiochavez415 really? I didn't know that! Thanks for sharing.
