okay so about Ed’s arm;
in order to perform alchemy you need to understand the components and the mechanisms of how the object that you’re trying to create/transform works. When Ed was fighting with Scar his arm got completely shattered meaning that 1) he didn’t have all the pieces to put it back together… and 2) he probably doesn’t know mechanical engineering to the same extent as Winry does so, yes he’s able to transform the metal on his arm into a blade but he probably doesn’t know exactly the components and parts that make his automail work… hence why he doesn’t repair his arm himself :-)
Also, for Al’s body, they explained that since Ed drew the blood seal, he’s the only one that knows how to thin out the material of Al’s suit without touching the seal!

Also like, he couldn't repair the arm cause he'd need two hands for that (if he did it via alchemy). Which he didn't have.
Yea, Ed is much more of a chemistry major, he could tell you the elemental composition of what his arm is made of, be he isn’t really much of an engineer.

"We are in ep ** I can't imagine how much crazy stuff could go for ** more" It's exactly what I kept thinking each ep in my first time watching this. Theres a reason why it's considered the best anime ever, and to get even better, there's no fillers at all.
I remember watching DBZ when I was a kid - how amazing it was then. As a kid your emotions or feelings are just sort of amplified. FMA: B is the first anime that gave me those feelings as an adult. Staying up every week waiting for the anime to release an episode is a memory I'll never forget. Plus, living in India meant I had to wait for Eclipse to sub the episode. Occasionally I'd get impatient and just watch the raw release lmao.
Plus, there's a reason it's considered by many to be the greatest anime ever. +1 to two episodes per release.

Just a pet peeve but any chance y'all could turn off the subtitles for this one? They don't match up with the dialogue since it's the dub. I think it will make it better to watch. So happy you guys are enjoying my favorite anime :)

So Cannon's the one always iffy on the dub, but always talking about his love for Cyberpunk. So did he watch the anime in dub or sub,? Since the game is in english and the anime is based on the game(which is also a game based on a tabletop game made in english)
As a hispanic person I loved that the dub actually made David feel like he was a latino, whereas the sub just made him another japanese speaking character

Well, well, well. If it isn't my weekly eye candies with brains. Y'all, these theories are so close in some cases! You're definitely on the right track with a few, and Carter was def based/cooking on that philosopher stone just like my guy in the jeans was onto something with his comment around that time. Y'all are still at a simmer, just wait until the heat turns up and the spices of Mae, Oliver, Izumi, and Ling, and many others.
Ed does eventually change the metal of his arm, but it's too complicated to do with alchemy. Gears and tubes bro, gears and tubes.
Also, Canon, you're cooking for some endgame stuff. Just trade that leg/arm talk for God and you're set.

I get it!!...the voices don't match the subs and it gets irritating!!
With them reacting and talking throughout the episode it’s easy to miss what’s actually being said in the dub at times so having the subs helps viewers who struggle with that to know what’s being said even if the translation is different
