i'm not sure if this was sung by adam young or austin tofte, i've heard it was adam young but based on all of the comments i guess it's austin who sings this with breanne - Hudba
i played this obsessively after a rough break up. i never thought an upbeat song would hit me the way this did, but the lyrics broke me. i'll love this song and this band forever and always. it's nice to know other people understand you and use your exact words to express how they felt, too.
Ive listened to this a hundred times,
but ive never thought about the lyrics until now, it's more sad than i thought

Adam Young did do some background vocals with this band in the first songs, like this one, and provided the synth beats :) Breanne duren (the female singer) Also appears in some of Owl City's other songs like Saltwater Room and Honey and the Bee. The main singer for Swimming with Dolphins is Austin Tofte.

I listened to this song when I was in college. It has been more than 10 years.
I never paid attention to the lyrics before. Now that it can be applied to what Im going through, it gives me chills by how accurate it is. Such a beautiful song..
This boy I know is like a cheese grater to my heart. He chips away layer after layer and leaves me so raw and tender. Every touch of my memories of him is excruciatingly painful. This song makes me think of him.

This song reminds me so much of this awesome book called Fallen. I was listening to it while i was reading the book and i stopped cuz i realized that the words matched exactly what was going on with the main character and her love interest

@@artymess_7391 It's mainly Austin tofte's band earlier he used to work with Adam young but I guess he is no more involved with this.He was a perfectionist.. Happily enjoying his personal life most probably

I first stumbled on to this song while listening to an owl city playlist. I loved this song so much, I played it on repeat every day when I would clean my apartment…. Little did I know this song would lead to the inevitable break up of my girlfriend, and I completely missed the message of this song when I was with her, didn’t make any sense until I broke up with her….
