I've been watching a lot of these bug fights, and some of these things are really freaky. During this video, my dog snuck up behind me and stuck his nose into my ribs for attention. Scared the shit outta' me.
+Cody Wilcox Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for Subscribing!

Dang this was the most underwhelming bug fight I've seen so far haha. Don't mess with that mantis
Next on Monster Bug wars: Godzilla vs an Ant
Bronze Silver No Godzilla vs Giant Wasp nest
Killa Queen 😂😂
Killa queen Godzilla is not a bug
AHAHAHAH
*ANT WINS*
The mantis looks like a xenomorph queen
true
"Get Away from her, you bitch!" - Ripley Beetle
Let me Google that
no
Cool
Videos like this are enjoyable to watch because they aren't humans pitting the bugs against each other in a tank. Just straight up footage of natural interactions.
Hahahahaha..... oh wait you were serious
^ He says from the comfort of his high school gym locker. :)
@@beeceepedia3784 mate, i feel like the chances of them tracking a jungle tiger beetle just to have it sit directly in front of a pseudacanthops for a cinematic shot for a ‘show down’ are pretty low
A good chunk of these web sitting spider vs videos likely involve the eventual loser being thrown into their web. Also, there's probably at least a couple where the loser likely would have gotten away to live another day, only to 'suddenly come back'. Yeah... I feel like they were made to come back because we can't have any sort of Draw with one of the bugs escaping instead of fighting to the death. Hell, part of me wonders if any of these lead up 'victims' are set up to show one or both contenders' capabilities. A cricket that landed in a spider's video in one video looked like it may have been thrown/ tossed at the web.
Funny seeing people overreact to the "unfair" matchup.
As some others have commented, the big size advantage of the mantis made this a "no contest". I've noticed this pattern with many bug wars, which makes them much less interesting and certainly more predictable.
Especially with tiger beetles, they get spooked easily and run away from anything bigger than them, while mantids are hyper-aggressive and will attack a creature even if it's a little bigger than themselves
I mean, a baby scorpion beat a spider…
Have you seen the tiger beetle vs the raspy cricket? Raspy cricket was larger than him yet he still managed to take it down. The only reason it lost here was because it wasn't aware of the mantises presence.
@@dylanrendon5097o mantos ganhou por causa da disponibilidade da arma de longo alcance.e não por que nao foi notado
Tiger Beetle: I am speed.
Can you imagine if these creatures were the size of humans?
Damn nature, you scary!
Scyther.
Privileged Poverty their would be a lot of factors that would change things around though they may not be as strong as you think
Thomas Buchovecky well, if there was more oxygen in the atmosphere like almost a billion years ago we could go back to the Carboniforous age with giant arthropods.
Ronnie Bowman they would be slow and weak, since they couldn't feed enough oxygen.
They would be killed by mice, small dogs, etc.
Imagine survival rate of a cheetah.... with a max speed of like 4 miles an hour.
You now know why there's no giant bugs.
*Spoiler... i guess*
"What happens when the fast and the furious"
*Dramatic pause*
"Runs into the ghost who stalks?"
It dies
Yeah, only it didn't run into it.. It walked into it. This scenario was completely unrealistic on so many levels.
4:59
So Tiger Beetles hold the speed record on ground!
And then Rhino beetles hold the record as the strongest animal on Earth!
And Fleas hold the record for jumping!
IS THERE A RECORD A BUG DOESN'T HOLD?!!
@kanggaro - Portia Spider?
@kanggaro - Relative to the the size of it's brain, the Portia spider holds that record.
kanggaro A Katydid was responsible for filming this video
most camoflaged
The dracula ant holds the record for quickest movement an animal makes by snapping its mandible shut at about 200 mph
So you're telling me these damn beetles have access to the speed force 🤔
moss mantis: the cactus ghost of all mantises
tiger beetle: the road runner of all beetles
The beetle probably digests fast too. Poor mantis will have the runs now.
ummm the mantid/mantis won
I've never seen a moss mantis before until this video. Nature is so cool
tiger beetle ate a jumping spider
Those Mantis are a Masterpiece .. :)
Fun fact, Tiger Beetles are the fastest animals known to man.
HOW ABOUT A FIGHT BETWEEN ORCHID MANTIS VS MOSS MANTIS HUH!!!!!
I hope theres mantis fights, a 1v1 mantis only, plz
I hope theres mantis fights, a 1v1 mantis only, plz
they naturally dont meet
but a human is envolve bro every fight in monster bug wars is perpously made IGNORE MY SPELLING XD
If they both stand still that would be the longest fight ever.
That was a bad matchup. Mosh mantis was five times the size of that beetle. Most times size matters in the insect world.
Moss***
Agreed. All their match ups are ridiculously unfair. The only time I've seen small win it's because it's ants in large numbers.
+NightEye Agreed
+NightEye The follow these things around in the wild, don't really get much say in what happens.
Gary Busususaurus Or that may be what they want you to believe. There is so much stuff that is staged on TV nowadays its hard to tell the difference. You would be amazed at what some companies would do to get high ratings.
6:26 Moss Mantis:Oh? you’re approaching me,instead of running away you’re coming right at me? Tiger beetle: I can’t beat the shit out of you without coming any closer. - jojo
😂😂
wow that mantis look really cool I'm glad that it won
same
But it was not a good fight. It needs a bigger opponent because that looked to easy.
The mantis is such a bad ass! Perfect evolution.
This isn't even fair.. The mantis is 3 times the size of the beetle. This is just as unfair as desert centipede vs trapdoor spider, where the centipede is like 4 times the spiders size
yay more mantises kicking other bugs butt
+Joseph Rasquinha
Well there's a difference, Mantises are actually really fragile, and the beetle has a tough exoskeleton.
SpongeFlashie Yes, but look at the size. The beetles mandibles cannot even reach the mantis. Can you put an alligator snapping turtle against a great white shark?
+Joseph Rasquinha Well don't you think that if he clamps onto a leg or something he could bring down the mantis?
I like the slow motion during the attack. The beetle is just sitting there in stasis, trying to figure out what the hell he was looking at. He doesn't even budge when the mantis snatches him up. The poor beetle was like: "Whaaaa whaa whatttt!!! wait!!!!".
Who else never thought that bugs fighting could be so exciting?
That's incredible, that it turned the head away from it. Typically, the mantis will attempt to sever the head from the body, because a headless opponent will cease struggling and being a danger.
Pretty clever for a bug. I've seen jumping spiders do the same kind of thing. When fighting a dangerous opponent, they sometimes very deliberately circle around behind it before attacking.
That beetle clearly equipped the boots of blinding speed.
Or The Speed shoes of Sonic xD
I actually think the moss mantis is kinda cute lol
Alan Cogan Man, c’mon, mantids are pretty cute.
Basically street racers vs cops
"The problem is when they come up against this mantis, the mantis isn't moving around"
The insect tier list suggests that while the Jungle Tiger Beetle has a good matchup against the Moss Mantis, the Moss Mantis managed to outplay his foe, whom had little matchup knowledge against the Mantis.
GG.
No, that mantis is bigger than that poor beetle.
6:30 That Mantis is going to tear that poor Jungle Tiger Beetle to shreds. It's got size, speed, and intelligence on it's side. Being blinded while running probably doesn't help the beetle in this situation either.
9:30 CALLED IT!
i'm digging the new style. Dr Rayor looks very nice in this episode. i really hope you guys don't take a long hiatus cause these are always a pleasure to watch.
+Nevicar glad I 'm not alone :-)
it blows my mind this is on tv i could see it being a youtube series, but these noises are soooo silly and its so obvious that human beings are controlling the situation and bringing these bugs together and making the fight!
The moss mantis is probably now my favorite insect
I will never look at an insect the same again ! Great show :)
Moss Mantis: *stays and watches prey silently*
Beetle: Haha! I go BRRRRRRR!!!!
The insect world is so fascinating! Love these videos.
pls nerf mantis so op
pls ban mantis is camping
Mantis is cheater,he use Hax
Mother Nature needs to give the jungle tiger beetle class a mini gun
they need to nerf the centipede
I'm just saying the any ant kit is op they need to be taken out the game
This is the most fascinating Preying Mantis that I’ve ever seen. Figures it would be an Amazonian.
Okay but every time they replayed the clip of the beetle running across the ground but flipped every other time had me in stitches 😂😂😂
They made it seem like that beetle had a chance
Sure there is a difference in size, but it is all about the strike in this fight. Mantids have wickedly good first strike accuracy against any size opponent, their eyesight and speed help this.
Just look up mantid vs mouse or lizard where they are the smaller of the match. The very fact that they win ANY percentage of time vs a larger opponent speaks volumes about their strike accuracy.
Being good with sizing up prey and timing when the prey is in strike zone also keeps that accuracy up.
Hell, they even get good strikes on cats! Never seen a cat more frustrated then when they get struck by one and it clings to them, so entertaining.
Helga yhh true...the tiger beetle is the fastest land insect, plus its not like it got ambushed, they were face to face, so tbh this fight was down to speed and if you look closely the mantis strikes just before the tiger beetle gets ready to run at it!
I literally missed the mantis attack when I blinked my eyes! So amazing
The Moss mantis is an evil genius!
watching these bug wars makes my back shivers...a lot.😫
This is a weaponized ninja vs a knife-armed Usain Bolt lol😂😂😂😂😂
“Modulelistic terror.. of this sadistic feast… there’s only one way outta here, that’s going piece by piece”
i saw that damn beetle i was like.... "bruh...you bout to get thrashed!!!"
Sooo ironic that the tiger beetle, so quick on his feet, gets caught motionless.
Finally something beats a Tiger Beetle!
awesome fights keep this series going its great nice to watch after work or gym
That mantis is the coolest looking insect I've ever seen.
Because I watch a video of a mantis eating a hummingbird every time I see a mantis i ripe of it's leg one by one and the head to>
I have to say though this was very situational and advantageous to the Moss Mantis, had the Tiger Beetle been running around and the Mantis went to grab and missed the Mantis could have easily been lunch as the beetle would have circled round and landed its blow first.
I say this because Tiegr Beetles would be more naturally be running around the ground than slowly creeping around the tree.
Tiger Beetles
A few species do take to the trees. I am not sure about this one, though.
Love the narrator voice and words he choose
I wish I were in the audio production room with these magnificent videos. The audio effects are hilarious at times.
9:10 Old lady at the end seriously just exposed my battle royale game strategy.
Dude this is so 1 sided.. Size matter no brainer
agreed. it's like a giant is looking down at a human... I knew the mantis would win
Not really. The dinosaur ants vs the trapjaw ant, the trap jaw ants were 1/4 the size and they still won.
Dude you mean 1 Dinosaur ant vs 1 trap jaw ant ? or you refering 1 pools of ants vs another pools.? in ants battle is numbers count
James chin yuen Lee colony vs colony
"It could break the mantid in halve" -Dr. Linda S Rayor.
aka... in this match size did not matter, but I did agree that is was one sided for most part, just for a different reason.
"It's so accurate that 85% of its raptorial strikes are succesfull." -Dr. Bryan Grieg Fry
That was the conclusion for me.
6:27-6:34
THAT NARRATING!! HOLY S**T! I GOD CHILLS.
an insect is about the worst animal you can be everything is after killing you in unimaginable gruesome ways
" You may not see IT, but IT sees you" great im gonna have more nightmares0_0
The moment I saw the size of the mantis against the Tiger Beetle's I knew this fight was not even a fight. More like a "Mantis snacks on a Tiger Beetle". Seriously, this fight was one sided when comparing the size in favor of the mantis.
Really like this show, I always wanted to see a documentary type show that centered on insect/arachnid savagery, & now there's is one.....😀
If the Tiger Beetle\ F1 racer of the bug world is soo fast that it gets blinded by it's own speed then how does it find it's prey?
Dark Angel 609 it will stop every few runs to look for movement anywhere in its radius
I like the new info they put before the fight very good to know those things
I gotta say the narrator is amazing. Makes something that may be boring to some exciting and fun.
😂😂😂 Love the sound effects.....
MBW really stepped up their soundtrack game. I want some of this music!
The Mantis looks like it has sun glass's XD
this was satisfying to see a beetle being defeated Finally
I love these. Thank you!!!
this is like greatest tank battles or dogfights only in a bug version
Wow amazing camouflage.
Not an even fight, the tiger bug just gets eaten alive, literally.
Yep, tiger beetles can't exactly kill a predator bigger than itself.
@@MananagKiVato ive seen some eat bugs like 2-3 times its size but yeah against a mantis its just too one sided
The tiger beetle once defeated the larger raspy crickets in this series.
I love this series! ❤️ 😂
I thought tiger beetles evolved to prey on frogs...
Awesome footage.
Good clip! That beetle can't stand a chance against a mantis.
moss Mantids are pretty quick for a winner
That wasn't even adult mantis.
It might be... some mantid species don’t have wings, ill have to search it up.
I definitely love how the Mossy Mantis becomes the silent type of insect that blends right with the rest of the Mossy Trees and plants like Swamp Thing because it gives that kind of swampy look to him when it quickly strikes at his prey when they don't know the predatorial danger the other bugs are in until it's too late 😁😃😛❤❤❤❤ lol
5:14 "Its eyes can't keep GRHARBL" hahaha what?!
4:55 For some reason parts like that for the Tiger beetle get me laughing
“Your death is here. You just don’t see it.” Moss mantis.
4:45 when you’re mother says “ it’s time for the first day of school “
The CG of the mantic makes it look like a xenomorph
Oh man! That was a real rhodohoden
I wish I was tiny so I can ride a Jungle Tiger Beetle. I'd be so badass. 😂😂
You know it would eat you, right?
The ladies last statement kills me, isn't that also speed? 🤣
4:56 what did narrator say? The subtitles say "beetling alone had an incredible Bobby links per second" but I suspect it isn't so.
Love the snarling 😍
Nice music when the Mantis is eating
Warrior beetles seem to be similar if not quite as fast.
Coming to think about a video game with bug wars would be kinda cool
+Diego Delgado There's a game on the Wii called Deadly Creatures where you play as spiders, scorpions and such fight other bugs while running through the wilderness
I hope you guys decide to do a tarantula hawk bug battle. Because the size difference isn't cool.
hahaha i love the djent in the background while the tiger beetle was speeding across the ground XD that shit was fucking golden XD
Love these things, but lets be honest here: "That puts it on a collision course..." is more like "We put it on a collision course..." lol.
im addicted to this channel
Hooded mantis is my favourite insect, but the moss mantis is also my favourite insect
YAAAAAAY!!! (Look at my profile pic)
What a practical fight lol
I think I'm addicted to this channel
