hi sentosatv, or advertising team or whoever is involved in this, i find the approach for your ad interesting. i would usually expect an 'fun' approach to this and instead, as obvious as it is, you have highlighted that there is an issue with work-life balance in the workforce.there is a scene in the ad where the lady is in a yoga class and that worried look on her face, the same look that i think almost every working adult has - the dread of dwelling on work related issues when you are already away from work.anyway sorry for the long post, just needed get this off my chest. i usually get put off by most ads from singapore. somehow i kind of appreciate what you're trying to do here. thank you. maybe i'll drop by sentosa again sometime soon.(:

Its Sunday afternoon. 4.45pm. Im sitting here at home processing opal for the next jewellery producion while most of my mates will be kicking back in a bar drinking beer or out doing cool stuff. My wife is upstairs working from home. We both push absolute minimum 50 hours a week. This advert really jarred me. I walked in eyes wide open though and choose to have little time due to working and making money. In return for the commitment my wife and I give making money we get to go out for dinner twice a week. We go out for breakfast every weekend day I dont have opportunity to work. We travel from Australia overseas three times a year. We also travel locally for a weekend away once a month.
I believe we have a solid hold on a quality work/life balance.
I really like this ad a lot. Good on you guys at Sentosa. Sadly, a lot of others dont have a good work/life balance.
If you dont make time to live large and just focus on work, you need to take a step back and refocus. Life isnt about working yourself into the ground, its about working hard with targets in mind and enjoying them when you achieve them. Big and small.
