    I have the A7v's, A4v's and A44H and they all sound awesome with a Sub, had a number of monitors but these really shine, so invested in a 5.1. Perfect. Nice review 😊

    I just got myself some A7V's and while at the store I tried out the A4 vs a few others including the Kali. And I can hear the same thing here as I did in the store. The Kali feels boxed in... almost like a nasally sound. While the bass is deeper, I feel the A4's is tighter. I'm glad I can tell the difference here also. And as you mentioned, the mid's on the Adam's are more defined... Kali is still IMO, one of the best bang for the buck for whats out there. They are not perfect, but they are really good. I would go Kali before the Yamaha HS line for the price difference.

    At 4:10 the Kali's sound much better, the guitar is deeper and full body. Maybe with subwoofer the A4V could also sound that deep.

    I had the chance to A/B the A4V and the A7V. I did prefer the sound of the A4V. The A4V just disappears and has nice phantom center effect with good depth. I paired it with an 8 inch subwoofer making the combo about the price of a pair of A7V, it was a no brainer.

      What subwoofer did you pair with your A4Vs? I'm considering going down the same route.

      @@behemothinferno the dual 8" Focal Sub One as it's footprint works better in my smallish space. I also have a footswitch for the sub for when I need to listen without the bottom low end.

    Just found your channel. Nice review, mate! I use a pair of the A7V with an SVS SB-3000 subwoofer for my computer audio system. I don't produce/engineer music. I just love listening to Nine Inch Nails and other industrial/electronic rock through my system. The A7V do a great job with imaging for games, too.

      you're smart I suffered for 10 years 10 ! gaming and listening with a 2.1 logitech "pc speakers" system until I heard about studio monitors and after buying my 1st pair spent 8hrs just listening doing nothing else also tried on my TV and almost cried about how good the movie scores sounded vs "home cinema" sound

    More low mid info on the Kali more low info also I could hear that some of the tracks were muddy on the Kali I could also hear it on the adam but more so on the Kali, the separation on the Kali is also better, you know I thing you should play the original track alongside the speakers and that would give us a better representation

      yes good idea I listen to all studio monitors reviews with headphones I used for 10 years+ and know exactly how they sound vs speakers, hearing the original track helps a lot

    funny....I ordered kali audio in-5 the little brothers of the lp8 v2 but they take a very long time to come maybe never will delivery date pushed all the time so I'm looking at alternatives that are actually in stock the adam audio are and are thinner which works for me I could get an A7V even not at the same price tough, your comment is correct on the woofer size I had 5" this far and you usually don't get much kick/bass out of them or it sounds very dry

    It is 52 - 45,000 Hz , not 45 hertz in basse, and it is at - 6 db so at -3db which is the standard they might be at 57 hertz on the bass... They do not go low at all

    What ever guys, when you sitting in a shitty room, no speaker will help you at the end. We all know that and you can/must learn your nearfields and your headphones. And you can mixing also with small little helpers like Tonal Balance Control from Izotope, SPL Phonitor for headphones or Gods Particle and so on.

  • @ronedwards8239
    @ronedwards8239 Před rokem

    I purchased the A7V. Very well balanced but no depth to the sound. I may try the A4V but I’ve seen testing that shows frequency cancellation going on because of the port.

    • @datbaguettedoe6436
      @datbaguettedoe6436 Před rokem +4

      I don't know how you didn't experience depth to the sound -- maybe it's your room. I have had the A4V and the A77H, and they both have an incredible depth. The soundstage easily extends 4 or 5 feet behind the speakers.

      @@datbaguettedoe6436 I have the A4v too and the phantom center is really that good. Amused the heck out of me when I had it setup as they are placed a foot away from a wall and 38" apart from center point of the drivers yet that center stage went beyond and acted like that wall never existed lol
