Like I told the Doctor, it's easier said than done, smoking calms my nerves and reduces the stress, but I'll give it another shot! 🙏🤞🍀

I became so short of breath I HAD to quit. My doctor told me I have emphysema. I quit 4 month ago, cold turkey. When I had a craving I would think how I grasp for each breath and the cravings and withdrawals disappeared. I am still short of breath because my lungs are destroyed now. The only thing that belongs in the lungs is air.

I’m so sorry to hear that 🙏❤️ I am anxiously awaiting for my results tomorrow from a bronchoscopy I had last Friday. I am trying to quit too, however I just gave in tonight saying to myself it’s the last smoke again. Let’s try be positive and choose life and pray for another chance 🙏 I am a single mother of a 7 year old daughter.

Does emphysema stop progressing after quitting?

    • @robincook4349

I don't think so the progression might slowdown.

EXPLAIN the Leonard Nimoy situation. He quit 25 years before he was diagosed
THEN died five years, barely, after diagnoses.
