  • Some of you asked for an updated tour of my Ping collection, so here you go! Lots of plants are in bloom right now so it's a great time for an update.

I noticed that there is a lot of white fuzz in some of the pots… Is that normal? I have something similar in one of my pots and it’s giving me anxiety that it’s mold.
Edit: you address this briefly at the end of the video. Did you ever figure out a solution?

Your collection is really looking mint and great tip on the fluval stratum. I was going to try adding some vermiculite to the ones that are struggeling a bit in the mineral mix that I am using now. I set up some x Tina and x Weser in lechuza basic pon, but it seems a tiny bit too dry.

Hi Blake! Thank you for the tour, and what a stunning collection you have there! I only recently learned about Pinguicula and your exhibition couldn't be more timely! I am interested to know that between Golden Eye and Victoria, which one is a more beginner-friendly pinguicula species? Thank you again for the tour, and keep up the good work!

Have you tried introducing spring tails?

Do you fill the entire pot eith your ping mix? I've see people fill it mostly with peat and then the top inch or so with the ping mix. I. Assuming you don't since you said you try to avoid using peat.

Love the ping videos! Did you know you can order all kinds of ping cultivars online?

I love all the blooms. I definitely need to get a ping! Where'd you get the moranensis Jade?

Could you do a care tip video? I just got my first Ping, read some articles online about watering and Im not sure if putting in a water tray is enough or I should also do top watering

Setting them in a water tray is sufficient. The water level doesn't need to be that high either. I just fill my trays so the water is about 1 cm up the sides of the pots. I use pretty short pots though (~2" tall). I also let the tray dry complete for a day or two between waterings.

3:47 Do your pings propagate themselves like this? or have seeds fallen? Or maybe you plant them like that, though I'd assume not lol
