- I"ve received a lot of questions about what system I use and how I have it set up for competition. Well, here it is, my breakdown of the @The Safariland Group ELS (Equipment Locking System) and how I set mine up!
For an update on my current holster watch this video: • The Best 2011 Holster ...
I attempted to make this as detailed as possible without making it too long, but whatever questions you have about this system, please ask in the comments below!
Rifles & PCCs: Brugger & Thomet
Pistol: Atlas Gunworks
Optics: Vortex
Ammunition: Federal Premium
Belt Setup: Safariland
Eye Protection: Gargoyles Eyewear
One of the most informative videos on youtube about comp belt set-ups. Thank you!
Finally a great video on showing the belt , inner belt, and how all QLS and ELS attachments mount. Most YT videos on els and qls show nothing but the fork. Even the Safariland YT channel sucks and shows nothing how yo pick your gear and mount it. Thank you for this video.
Been working for a kydex holster company for 4 years only now am i getting into shooting something more then just backyard targets, this video helped me alot thank you so much. Im excited to go get proper training because my aim with a handgun is.... well to the point i just laugh at how bad it is.
Thanks from a new subscriber. You just made my decision on my 3 gun belt . I think because of the versatility I will also make this my IPSC rig
It is hard to beat this system. Safariland makes incredible stuff.
I was considering adding Velcro strips on the inside of PLM or Tek-Lok style clips on a more standard belt setup like CR Speed or Blade-Tech. Not anymore... Awesome video!
Welcome to the ELS system!
Love that level of modularity, I already use Safariland 6379 and 579 with the QLS system for my AIPSC / AIPDA rig and normal game days, works great for quickly swapping between pistol setups, although I use the same mag pouches for everything at the moment so haven't really needed the smaller ELS units - probably worth looking into longer term given that all round velcro contact you mentioned though.
Glad you like the video. Safariland's ELS belt system is definitely worth looking into for competition. I was so thoroughly impressed with the whole system from the get-go, that I paid full price. I'm honored to be sponsored now, but I don't work with companies I'm not willing to be a customer of first.
Big fan Sean, love your content. I do have ONE request!! Can you please make a couple videos that show case the APC .223? I would love to see the accuracy of the gun in a more lengthy video. There's not that many video's that go into full detail about the rifle. I feel that the APC .223 deserves more screen time in proper hands.
It will happen. I’m documenting my experience with the rifle as it happens. I love the platform and it performs incredibly well so far. Accuracy is unbelievably consistent and more will come. I have one video where I series the rifle with 1x optic in preparation for an upcoming match and the results were insanely good. czcams.com/video/TMZ96JCjBso/video.html Take a look and let me know what you think. I’m going to be doing much more as weather permits and spring comes.
@@SeanGoBoom Great! Glad to here it boss. And I've already watched that video haha. Don't be afraid to make longer videos (from time to time) when it comes to breaking down a specific firearm. Trust me, there ARE people who appreciate a longer video/review lol. I wish you the best of luck and can't wait to see more content!
Great vid👍... Great info👍... thank you for making this video and going over all these products and how they are used.. is simple folk would never know otherwise, and this is a great break down of gear for anyone that’s a new shooter or looking to get into 3 gun... I always thought you used magnets 😎.. Jk haha... I bet you never forgot your belt again after sporting that sweet pink set up from the wife haha.. good thing you didn’t forget your underwear or shoes 😂😂... thanks again for all the information.. keep up the great shooting!!
Well, if it were a pink belt, I may have just gone home. It is red, so I was safe for my male insecurity. No, this isn't the first time I've forgotten my belt. Some weekends rolling into local matches are chaotic. I don't put as much mental prep in to them as I do major matches, so things can get interesting some times :) Glad you found the video helpful!
Super COOL video!!!
Glad you like it. Pick up a belt for yourself! You won't regret it.
I know you're a sportsman m'friend. But here in selfdefenseland I look at this with different eyes... for the countryside, nightime, looks terrific - a must have NQA. Modularity may not be used as much as the comfort and resilience it was built with.
Going back to sports, rifle B&T hands down, pistol... STI? I KNOW! You probably said it tons of times! But I forgot, simply because, well, I tend to forget things that may eventually get me embarrassed. Like my in-laws birthdays - haha!. Anyway! Thanks a lot for the video mate! Have a good one!
Sean, what brand/model mag holster are you using for your PCC magazine ? Would Glock 17 rd magazines fit in it ?
Safariland 774 rifle mag holders for the MP5. I take the screws out and they clamp around the APC9 mags perfectly (for competition). I have them mounted on the ELS clips, and they work great.
Is your holster QLS a Mid Ride or Low Ride? Do you need leg strap?
I use the QLS mount and attach it to the UBL (universal belt loop), so it sits lower for my long arms to reach.
What 3-gun pistol holster would you recommend for a Glock 34?
I'm a huge fan of the new 7TS holsters they released this year. I'll be doing a review of mine soon.
@@SeanGoBoom What 7TS model? Dig the channel!
WHat's the AR behind you?
That is a B&T APC223. One of the rifles I compete with.
First... like bustin a cherry
I’ll take those sloppy seconds 😬
Love the enthusiasm LOL
Just clean up after you're done LOL
