      The reason possibly that it gives you the chills is it mirrors the Blair government but without the charisma and if we being honest the erosion of our health system germinated there. By that I mean not purchasing new hospitals ie building them but renting, Dental fees changed and effectively dropped so dentists left NHS and went Private dropping all their NHS patients. Until the world wide economic crash the U.K. quite prosperous so little excuse. I am getting sick of this notion that breakfast clubs the answer to child poverty. The obvious answer is pay the parents a truly living wage. Allow people self respect don’t force them economically to have universal credit to top up low wages. Our system all messed up. How can a local government employee get paid such low wages working fulltime that they entitled to UC. so cut out the middle man and simply pay them a real wage…. Sorry I digress just watched Questiin time 23/05/2024 so very irritated that like member of the audience Labour Party under Starmer given me zero reason to vote for them.

It is insane how much money was GIVEN to these people. Government is broke, 80% of the public is either broke or struggling. They need money so common sense and MATH (Something Sunak was moaning about the importance of) dictates we take it from those that ACTUALLY HAVE IT.

    • @aehii2305
      @aehii2305 Před 3 měsíci +11

      Weird and maddening isn't it, it's basically a refusal to acknowledge that the aim of these parties and the economy itself is to make the rich richer, and so there's this forever gaslighting that money is some finite resource rather than something that simply needs to be claimed back through tax. If anyone ever suggested that, these people would shift uncomfortably in their seat. It's the biggest elephant in the room pretty much every time any politician discusses anything. Because of that, it's all basically pointless and redundant and it makes sense that all the discussions are so petty and futile and repetitive, the exact same things are said year after year, this exact exchange could happen the same 50 years from now.
