The 1979 and 1980 b310 chassis was probably one of the few good looking designs Nissan came out with in this era, and it still looks good today. The wagon IMO had the best flow of them all. Its Very ironic that this was the entry level datsun of 1979, yet this car was miles ahead in refinement compared to the 2nd gen 510 (HL510) and way less stodgy looking.
I had a 1979 or 1978 Datsun I bought in 1987 for $450.00 when I moved to Honolulu.....I bought it up at a dealer in Wahiawa in the mountains of Oahu from Cox Auto Sales......the salesman was an old guy named Jimmy....I tried to get him down to $400.00.....Jimmy said "What the fuck, you cant even rent a car for a month for $450.00"......I paid the $450.00.......I had that car for about a year.....drove the shit out of it....my beach car......I was 22/23..........I think it was my favorite car in my life along with the 73 Ford Torino my dad bought for me.....I remember it had the piece of plastic on the side/back window area....

I have one and it's still running as new. I love my Datsun is a car building for last.
