Not an SUV fan in general, but that X3M looks damn good in black, doesn't it? And 0-60 in 3.38 secs for a mid size SUV is just insane!!
But I'd still take the M3! What can I say, I 'm old fashioned and like saloons! 😁
Ikr!! That’s faster than or equally as fast the Lamborghini Urus which costs 100k more. But the lambo also weighs more so there’s that.

I had the x3m pre facelift, the problem with that car isn’t speed is the ride…..you literally don’t want to Daily this car cuz it’s so rough

I remember my friend pulling up in the then new X3M and me being totally unaware of the model. I had a go and I don’t think I’ve been so shocked by a car as I went into it not having a clue what was under the bonnet. Very impressive.
Great content Joe but 100-200kmph is 62-124mph. The 1/4 mile on the stock M3 is absolutely nuts. I want one!

I’ve just taken delivery of my X3MC LCI . Same colour but with the SO interior and black callipers. Great to see this video. Your channel just gets better and better. Especially seeing my car as well.
Once again giving the people what they want Joe. Been looking for a comparison of the M3 Xdrive with the X3M and you've delivered. As expected but X3M held it's own, that M3 Xdrive is a beast though. I have the X3M (non LCI, early 2021) but if I didn't have 2 dogs to cart around would be considering the swap.

Great video Joe!! Thanks!! Does the race box you are using include or exclude the 1ft rollout? Any thought of using the Dragy? You can record all of the times in one run rather than resetting for 1/4 mile.

Great Video Joe! The X3M Comp in black looks really low and certainly on camera does not appear too much bigger than the M3. I imagine in person its a different story perhaps. Its an impressive super SUV that's for sure 👍

Does the paint not affect the launch? On the second launch in the x3 I think you can here it struggling for traction on the paint

The X3M is faster from a dig, but the M3 would hold its own on most of the rolling starts and at higher speeds when wind resistance comes into play.

Very interesting. As much as I love a Car Wow drag race, he bugs me how he's not very accurate. This was a nice genuine and factual comparison of how an SUV compromises a saloon.
How an SUV compromises a saloon? They're both super performant. I have a non-xdrive G80 M3 comp and an SQ7, they're both just hilariously fast for the road. The only compromise is the ridiculously bad fuel efficiency of my SUV when I drive it with a heavy foot,

But for practicality, which i assume a lot of people may choose the X3M for, it is the better all rounder. Same engine and absolutely great cars these two are. Maybe it's just me, but since it's an SUV and a face-lift, a bit more power for the x3m comp. Would have been great to eliminate the weight disadvantage against the M3 comp. Instead of 510hp maybe 530hp also.

Great video.. I'm loving my M3 M xDrive it's a great car overall. Does it feel like the M3 & X3M are on the same "tune" in terms of power delivery amd transmission performance etc.?
I work at Bracknell, the x3 is mapped a bit differently for low down torque with all that weight.The M3 is a little more powerful.M cars still have to comply with noise and emission regulations and even those supposed economy figures.A lot of potential I see.......

Is it possible to run the 2021 x3m vs the 2022 x3m? Reason why I ask is that I have seen stock dyno figures of the 2020 x3m with 539hp and 651nm. It will be interesting to see if the improvements bmw did are worth it. Also, I think car and driver have done a 3.3s 0-60mph on the 2020 which would make it just as fast as the 2020 model.

Been driving a BMW X3 m sport from 2005 for years. Would de have this one. If you want one car that does loads this is it. Yes other cars can beat it but it’s a great all rounder.
