    thank you for making this video and sharing your journey on your channel. im a 16 y/o ftm but for some reason i never really learned about the whole non binary spectrum or understood it, and your explanations have helped me to understand that its not as i thought it was! i appreciate you using your platform to inform less educated people such as myself. keep up the great work celeste :)

    hi, I just listened to your interview on triple j.
    I think you did a great job, and thank you for reaching out all the way to Australia.
    I really appreciate you going into depth about your relationship with your partner, even though the questions were maybe a bit needling.
    I just subscribed to your channel, and im looking forward to watching some of your videos :)

    Hi Celeste! 🙋I think CZcams is content flagging this comment 👿, kind of ironically, so I’m trying to strip out any suspect keywords here - sorry if it’s a little vague! I subbed to you a while back, but this is the first video I watched. I really liked hearing your thoughts on taking hormones as an ace enby, and how they parallel my own. I've been on Spiro, and a very small dose of E, for 9 months now, and it's going great for me, but I never saw much discussion of one of my concerns going into it all: wondering if hormones would turn me allo! I've never dated, or done any non-ace stuff, I don't know how to do any of that stuff, and I'm 28! I felt like the life I've built only made sense as a happy, complete life through the lens of being ace, and I felt kind of freaked out by the prospect of feeling compelled to enter the dating world for the first time as a non-binary adult. I wouldn't say that was my biggest concern going into it all, or even that I thought it was likely, but you know how all of the little worries tend to pool up in the back of your head. Anyway, I'm definitely still ace! 🥳Beforehand, I was aesthetically and sensually attracted to a pretty broad range of people regardless of gender, and that's still largely the same, but I lean wayyy more androphilic now, within those same dimensions. But, I still feel no romantic or... other kinds of desires for anyone, and independently of that, my lib. has totally bottomed out. It's funny, feeling all of these tiny little knobs shifting around inside of yourself, and trying to isolate them. 😅 That's why I'm so happy to find people like you, sharing your experiences and helping people like us build a frame of reference for navigating our little corner of experience. Anyway, I hope you're having a very nice day, and taking care of yourself. 💫

      I'm glad it was helpful! I know it's a concern for a lot of ace folks, especially since some people's sexual orientation does change when they transition. It's helpful to remember that libido and attraction are two separate things! I'm glad to hear you've had good experience with Spiro and E as well ❤️

    Thanks so much for this :) your videos are super interesting and helpful. I was wondering if I could ask how you decide to start taking T again when you do. As a fellow non-binary person with pretty much the same transition goals as you, I was just wondering if you'd be able to share your experience with that. I've been taking T on and off since May of 2018 and have a really hard time figuring out what's right for me when. I don't know if you have this experience too, but I end up really exhausting myself overthinking everything. Again, thank you so much for your videos! Hope you are doing well!

      Thank you! That's a great question and one I will have to think about, because it's not something I have a clear conscious process for. It's more just like following my gut. But I'll try to see if I can think of anything helpful 😊

    If you stop testosterone will you go back to like before?

    • @CelesteM
      @CelesteM  Před 4 lety +2

      Some changes are permanent, others will reverse entirely, and some will reverse partially. For example, voice change is typically permanent. Muscle and fat redistribution will revert entirely. Hair growth will revert a little (thin out, not grow as quickly) but won't go back to pre-T. The degree of permanence depends a bit on how much growth/change you've had, how long you were on T, etc. I talk more about this (and show it) in some past videos where I went off T for a period of time so checking those out might help more!

    sorry if you answered this before are you doing shots or gel? im on gel about 80 mg daily and its been 7 months its been VERY slow which is ok but considering switching however im super scared of needles :/

    • @CelesteM
      @CelesteM  Před 4 lety

      I'm on shots! I fortunately don't have a fear of needles but I know some people have had luck with other options like patches or pellets. I'm not sure how they compare as far as speed of effects but maybe worth looking into?

      @@CelesteM thank you!! I actually switched to subq shots two weeks ago and its not nearly as bad as I made it out to be :) thank you for the help I hope the speed of effects go into effect and my levels rise.

      I mean, that's basically nonbinary. You're neither or both. Depends on the person. Also, they use they/them.
