Thank you Obadiah. I am weighing my options, the Klover & the Ironheart are my lead two contenders, and the Ironheart is very much in the lead ATM. Am in the U.K and hope to get my stove soon.

I wanted an Esse until I saw the dogbone cooking surface & those "unusual" (I'm trying to be polite) cover plates. It's well built and would outlast me but aesthetics is also important.

VERY thorough! Even in the comments. I have learned so much watching your video and reading about the laws in the comments. Land of the free only if your brave ;) I was really surprised about the temperature underneath the stove. I can't believe a cat can stay under it! Thank you again for a really great video and who knows, I might see you in Montana one day! :)!

I lust after the Esse 990, second choice Ironheart. But I have so many questions about both. We are in Washington, and didn't the EPA just make all wood-burning cookstoves illegal? I'm confused and spooked. I could have had one years ago, but didn't want to pony up the humongous amount of $$$$$. Did I just cheat myself out of one of these?? Washington State is getting to be so irrationally anti-rural it's sickening. Between federal and state EPA regs, we're being forced into electricity being fed out to our places at hellacious cost. Goodbye, salmon! Research on both these models has left me more confused than when I started.

Wood burning stoves are way better made in cast iron then steel

This is beautiful! I'd love to get one when I can afford to get a hut in the woods!
