@THTB614 yes, but you cannot mash flaskick, you only get one shot because you lose your charge, what i mean by DP is reversal, if you are trying to perform a blockstring on chun, mash all kick buttons and if it's not a combo lighting legs come as reversal, which is bullshit, and even if guile's air throw range is the worst his recovery on sonic boom is so good, that he can instantly jump and air grab if someone tries to jump over sonic boom, if you try to focus it the u get forward fierce.
@phoenix9909 I get it. I guess he has to rely on less safe zoning, and must have a hard time out-zoning just about all projectile chars. Hmm. Do you know how well he does against non projectiles?
@MayhemMessiah i am not a pro but i know that oni's fireballs are really crappy, recovery is not very good and they don't reach the end of the screen, so you can't zone with them like ryu, or akuma, oni step kick is not as good as ken's so i guess oni is just harder to play effectively. i think oni solely relies on normals, but i may be wrong, just my theory.
@MayhemMessiah i'd he does quite well stalling non fire ball characters, but you need to have good reaction to anti air jump ins with DP or his standing fierce, if you are at the right distance you can anti air with forward roundhouse like sagat, now that i've been paying attention to good players using oni, they don't use fireballs too much, mostly for blockstrings and combos, but i dontknowhow oni would do against turtle chars like guile, chun, and dhalsim, my oni is garbage so i dont use him
Chobi messed up his Ultra execution 2 times in 15 sec. Its the mistake i do too often (off course more often than Chobi:-). Both times he didnt do a fully half circle forward and stopped down forward.
Last I checked Oni and E. Ryu aren't doing so well in Japan's arcades. Anyone care to enlighten a noob on why is that? Oni seems to have solid play, good combos, and overall good damage, and E Ryu seem like a slightly stronger and slower Akuma. After seeing this Oni crotch-smash his way through Rufus, I don't see why is he doing so badly.
