- This survived the winter in my garage. Its 3rd year in my yard. Just a light prune to improve. The lighting and warmth in my garage (albeit unheated) is making it grew through the winter.

That was a lot of ruthless pruning, lol! Thanks for the video. I need to do some ruthless pruning to my overwintered geraniums, but I've been too scared to. So this was very helpful!
You can do it! Good luck. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
@@GardenNotes - Thank you!
Very helpful. Mine’s in the ground and overgrown, and it’s only April. I’m going to trim it back so it doesn’t get worse over the summer.
Nice to know you find the video helpful. Thanks for letting me know!
VERY helpful thank you ❤
Glad it was helpful! 😊😊
Do you clone your cuttings?
Not for Geranium. Great idea and I should try someday.
I have cloned for other plants. And from the cloned stems, I have new plants - hydrangea, azalea, daphne, Pieris etc 😊
Just what u needed! Any update on this plant after all the pruning?
Yes. This video was done last year (2022). It bloomed profusely in early summer. I posted some photos in my Community section for blooms in July - czcams.com/users/postUgkxe4IkNjrVClUdlDK9Mw-FwVQqkFrZlpSe

Then I posted a video in September 2022 for its second round of blooms after the unseasonal warm weather. This video should be viewable from any device - czcams.com/users/shortsye0syjAPBtk
Thanks for your question.
Can you bring them in the house? After pruning Usually have the heat on at 68
I have not done that with Geranium but I did that for Gardenia. Imagine it would be the same. The plant will continue its normal growth with indoor temperature. I would just clean up debris and dead leaves etc. Do a gentle cut back to improve size/shape, if need be. Keep watering indoors since it is growing. Keep close to windows for better light. I find the biggest challenge is putting it back in the yard. To climatize from indoors to outdoors in spring requires patience. I almost lost the Gardenia since I just placed it back in the yard cold Turkey.
Now that you mentioned it, I may give that a try this year. However, mine may be too far gone. It was nipped by 2 hard frost lately. Interesting to see how things will go!
Thanks for the question! 💡💡💡
