    Another tip that I would add is to always use a tracked,signed for postal service,if you don’t you stand a good chance of the buyer claiming the item has not been delivered and proof of postage does not prove delivery,as I found out to my cost.

    Hi there,
    Good video. I just wondered why you choose not to use but it now? I sell vintage and antique items on eBay and tend to use buy it now if I think an item is quite obscure and a not a lot of people will be searching for it, or if an item is collection only, as this severely reduces the market potential.

    Listing unique & specialty items such as antiques and collectibles takes me a while on ebay. Even after research and pictures i still only get maybe 4-8 listings done an hour. Could you share or make a video on how to be more efficient with time spent listing? I appreciate your videos! Thanks in advance!

      Thanks for your question, American Harvester. To be honest, the kind of items we list on ebay (rather than sell in the shop) tend to take a good ten minutes or so per listing for us too. The detail we like to include - at least ten pictures, a detailed paragraph with lots of information - takes a while. But, In our opinion anyway, it's worth it. Buyers appreciate it and rerurns are kept to an absolute minimum. Best of luck with your harvesting.

    Can you offer some advise please. I have a Primrose Plate EP Copper B.M. Mounts 67 Cocktail Shaker, with 8 Goblets and Large Filigree tray with handles. This is a set and was given to my parents for their 25th wedding anniversary(1967) and then passed onto me, making it now 55 yrs old. It was originally purchased from Birks in Windsor, Ontario Canada. It is in very good condition as it was rarely used. I was wondering if you could advise as to how to price this. I would prefer to sell as a set if possible. This is all new to me, so any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

      Thanks for your question. This isn't an item we're familiar with, but my advice is to find out the approximate market value (what buyers are prepared to pay) and price accordingly. You could start by searching ebay and see what people are bidding; another alternative is to take the items to a local auction house valuation day and get their opinion. With luck they will have sold something smilar and have a good idea of its current value. Good luck!

    Hi, When you sell on eBay in the auction mode do you use a buy it now or best offer? Sorry I didn't understand that from your video! but it was a very good video otherwise, thanks

      @pauldaviesantiques1556  Před rokem +1

      Hi Jean. I don't use buy it now or best offer; instead I begin the auction at a price I'm prepared to let the item go for and then run it to the end.
