Its very rare to see now Table Tennis has the atmosphere to the likes of football. ITTF > Dead Games hosted by WTT (Including Worlds this year)
The atmosphere is there because it's held in China + it's a big team event.
Beyond that WTT is doing far better than older ITTF to arouse interest in the sport.
@@anujmchitale WTT is dead, I've went to see multiple WTT games, and the ITTF Melbourne Open, the atmospheres were different, WTT is just silent, with not much people, while the ITTF ones have a lot
@@jameswong3638 I have gone to WTT events in Singapore and Quarter Finals onward, there's a good crowd and atmosphere, always.

Regarding the angle of the live broadcast, I watched the WTT and the previous ITTF and the current ITTF match videos, and most viewers liked the shooting angle of the ITTF, and many people liked the shooting technique of WTT.
I think of the NBA, and there used to be a lot of complaints from viewers about that. But since the NBA has added several racks to give viewers a different angle of viewing, there have been far fewer complaints.
You have one of the most sensible takes on this. I am annoyed by people who just bash WTT for the angle, without ever understanding that many people actually like that angle.
I like both because each one shows things that the other one doesn't.
@@anujmchitale WTT didn’t even bothered to officially tell us “give up”. They completely ignored us as if we are all trolls, including sensible comments similar to this one. There’s no other action left other than keep reminding them we are still unhappy, and not everyone can hold back irritation while typing. I’m sorry if I’ve annoyed you somewhere in the past.
@@ttegg3485 Personal preferences will be different. I meant those particular people who will say something like, "WTT doesn't know how the sport should be telecast." Because those people don't like the sideways angle. Those types are super annoying.

As a fan, paying for a ticket to a game is one of the best supports for the sport. As you can see, the official sponsors of ITTF are all Chinese companies. Is it that the sport doesn't deserve more and bigger support from foreign businesses?
Foreign businesses are indeed sponsoring the WTT events. ITTF wasn't able to popularize the sport with their old techniques hence they created a new branch called WTT. And WTT's main aim is indeed to popularize the sport globally. They are doing a good job.
