Downsides! What downsides? It’s a Semi Auto, Half dart, Flywheel blaster, That shoots at 120 fps! And it’s a Maverick! Like the Stampede, there’s something about the Maverick that has that unmistakable look. Half dart blasters seem to be the newest step in the hobby, so it’s great to see an Iconic blaster modified in this way. Another great thing about it, is Mavericks are easily thrifted. Love it! Build one and ran it in a match yesterday, I can confirm it was excellent and will likely be my goto sub 150 fps flywheeler moving forward. This vid was helpful in my decision to build one and I'm glad i did. For what i need its top shelf, proved light reliable and relatively accurate.

I’m doing a crazy mod and using the original cylinder, cutting in half, putting a mag adapter for talons in the cylinder, and then putting a full size flywheel cage in it. May be a bit funky looking but I can cut the shell for my cage. I’m just having trouble trying to figure out a pusher arm though

Will pulling the slide fire the blaster?
Yes actually! Although that means hot glue is taking the full force of the trigger return when you do that, so I don't fully trust it. With the power of Printing ™️ That could be fixed to have a more solid connection tho.
