I do not own any of the rights of the music played in this video
The background noise is a “spiritbox,” which is essentially a radio that flips through signals and relays messages between the living and dead worlds.
Mike is a good friend, and this is super old. He said they’d never do this sort of thing again because it was logistical nightmare to make happen, and they had to troubleshoot so many things time and time again.
Damn! That is so cool, well I’m glad they did it anyway
The world is blessed to have had them go through all the bullshit to do this for us! It's an incredible piece of art, and we are grateful.
This live session is my favorite thing they've ever done to this day.
It is pretty si k
Im so glad you all reacted to this. Probably one of the best compositions of music in modern rock history. Unbelievably written, produced and put together.
no doubt about it!
Thank you so much for taking the time to react to this. I recommended it so you could see how talented they are as a band. This was actually back from when they first started Spiritbox. This band can do so much than you have heard. Thanks again for the reaction. You guys are the shit and funny as hell.
If I recall right they did just two full run throughs then synched the video to the best single audio track so what you hear is a live one-take, even if the video jumps between the two (ie Mike changing shirts/guitars randomly etc)....and yes, it's bloody wonderful
This live session is just so good. I like what they do today but I wish they also continue to release alternative songs like these. Check out "The Beauty of Suffering" also very good (SiriusXM version)!
HIGHLY recommended!! Great suggestion.
They just released 3 new videos off their new EP, The Fear of Fear, that go with 2 other songs you already reacted to (Cellar Door & Jaded). Hope to see your reactions to those (but especially Angel Eyes) I have seen them 3 times live and they just keep getting better every time I see them. You should check out some of Mike's guitar play throughs that are out there.
This was a bit older, but they have a good live set on SiriusXM on youtube and also the one take performances are solid. Blessed be is also a banger.
That's my all-time favorite video by them. I saw them live in june and they are by far one of the best live bands I ever saw 🤘🏻
My favorite spiritbox song ❤
You guys should check out their new EP, the entire thing.
I liked this sound more than their newer direction
Very nice to see someone reacting to a song like "The Mara effect"!
Spriritbox is really amazing and that is all the more true, when musicians say that, who damn sure know what they are talking about! 😁🤘
And Spiritbox has a treasure trove of good songs! There would be "Blessed be" or "Holy roller" or "Rule of nine" or "Beauty of suffering" and and and (they have just released a new CD for example.)
Thinking about new bands (well, not all of them new but anyway... 😊)
There would be some recommendations:
Of course Jinjer "Pisces", "Teacher, teacher", "Pit of consciousness" (live in Kiev), "Wallflower" and and and...
People wiser than me have already stated independently from each other that "Jinjer is incapable to write a bad song".
Then in case you really don`t know them (🤔) Meshuggah with "Clockworks" (maybe live camera of Tomas Haake, the drummer) or "Dancers to a discordant system" (also live!) ....
Now perhaps really unknown to you may be Infected Rain with "Orphan child" or "The Earth mantra"...
Or featuring the singer of Infected Rain: Seas on the Moon with "Sanctuary" or "Bad omen"
Or really, really unknown to most (which is really a shame) Velya with "Rigor mortis" or "Ode on a misfunctionate trombone" (eh, kind of I never can remamember that ridiculous title - but, damn, it`s worth hearing it!)
Or - reallly new to me - from North Carolina I guess: "Stellar Circuits" with "Witch house" or "Catch your death"...
All of them very progressive ...😊🤘
Love this band, and love this trio of songs. Appreciate that you guys reacted to this.
This song means a lot to me as is goes through a journey of someone suffering with sleep paraylsis which I do on a regular and until I heard this song I never knew that you could put into words how it feels the fighting of the sleep every night never knowing what or when it's coming. She words the journey perfectly.
I believe this session is about 4 years old. They have evolve so much and I really LOVE their sound right now!!🖤
They sound just like his live
I have seen them live and they are very good. They were able to bring it with veterans like Killswitch Engage and Lamb of God saw them all together.
Courtney and Michal (guitarist) are from the band I wrestled a Bear Once IWABO and they are married.
Glad you enjoyed it!
ANGRA - ANGELS AND DEMONS
"I love that she doesn't do any facial expression..." umm. What? Do we both have eyes? ;)
Its Best of The Best.
