When you said that 2018 was 7 years ago, my mind was actually a little blown. This concert was my first experience with Aurora, and I fell in love immediately. I can't believe Aurora has been my favorite artist for that long. I appreciate that you clocked her as an indie artist, rather than a pop star. I think being called a pop star/pop artist would probably make Aurora's toes curl.

Think it was JD that called Kim about doing the song. Dunno what he's saying with it but the boy that was 'Shot' in Make Me Famous is watching the ending while on the plane in Drown, birthmark on the cheek gives it away. Was he shot after all?... it's all crazy so only Kim knows. They sure don't write Iron Maiden length songs tho, most end around 3 mins. About Billie's looks, you guys made a very good point. She cared though, but in a very specific way. One old NBC producer dude in New York said something about making her "look pretty." She flashed both her middle fingers at him and walked out to a stunned silence in the studio. She was only fifteen at the time. Compare that with the days of Brittany Spears when she had to show her tits to producers before they could tell if her music is "proper." Or how Diane Sawyer, the acclaimed TV journalist, pressed on Brittany to reveal her first sexual experience in order to judge her music. Billie's point is she's there to sing, not to give you a hard on.

If you ever have the chance to go to a live show, you should! It’s so much fun! I’ve been a fan for over 16 years and I used to often work in LA, and always when I was there they were gigging in my home country The Netherland or Belgium or Close to the border in Germany. I hadn’t seen them live since 2019! I came of a TV production and I looked if they’d played the night before I left. And sure enough at the Whiskey… and… sold out. So I drove to Norm’a Vintage guitars in Ventura, I bough a nice US Charvel (not vintage). And I spoke to someone there and since Russ (Satchel) plays Charvel now the subject soon landed on Steel Panther. And they asked if I was going. I told him that I tried that morning but it was sold out. His buddy had bought several tickets but one of their group may not be able to come, so there was a ticket left. He called his buddy and indeed he couldn’t make it. So he rang his other buddy either the tickets and arrange for me to buy it from him in Santa Monica. Felt a bit weird and shady but I was like for 75 bucks, I’m gonna take chance. Sure enough he mailed me the eticket showed me he deleted them from his phone. And it was perfectly valid and it was awesome! Then in 2020 4 weeks before lock down they played in my home town of Utrecht and that was even cooler! (More chicks flashing their boobies 😂 and young teens throwing a moshpit). Was awesome! I can’t wait for them to come again.
