- Our Birthday Celebration for Chloe (our 7th child). It's her 9th birthday. She is a joy and delight and it was super fun to celebrate with her. Naomi is our resident pastry chef and she made s'mores cupcakes that involved using a blowtorch! She is so brave! #largefamilylife #birthdayparty
Everyone should be blessed to have a loving sister like Naomi. Such a talented baker.

I remember my mom and grandma making fried chicken the night before every fishing trip. We would eat it cold with other items while fishing from my Daddy’s boat on the lake. Great memories!

We live so similar, haha! Seeing were a family of 13, we make all our own birthday cakes and cupcakes! My daughters help me every birthday! Our kids pick out their Menu for the day, and our evening runs a lot like this. I love the simplicity of it! All my kids make homemade cards as well. Thank you for sharing this sweet moment! Adorable cupcakes to keep a “tail” from coming up when frosting press down just a tiny bit before lifting the tip and/or get a toothpick and press it down gently. But I think they look fantastic. Well done and happy birthday!!

She got such beautiful gifts!! I was so excited while she was opening them. I got my other granddaughter an Am Girl doll for Christmas two years ago. We did the one you customize. But I love that they have a little less expensive version now. I’ll probably get my younger granddaughter one for Christmas next year. But let me tell ya, buy the clothes and accessories at Target. They’re just as nice and good quality and you’ll get more for your money. They’re called “Our Generation” and I got them on sale Buy 1/Get 1 Half Off. So I paired up the sets closest in price to each other so I’d get the highest amounts off. I ordered them separately in little bundles. That way instead of saving half in the least expensive sets and paying full price for the higher priced, I was able to get half off the same valued ones. And I just made it so each bundle would qualify for free shipping (can also do pickup but I don’t get out much) which I think is like in the $30 range. I got her a tent set and hiking and a number of others. They were so nice! Then I got her a Melissa & Doug brand wooden Armoire (closet) so she could hang the clothes up. I bought hangers too. I was going to make some and I was going to wallpaper it on the inside (with scrapbooking background paper) and maybe paint it too (comes in white) but I just never felt well enough to get to it. But definitely I think the Am Girl dolls are nicest altho the Target dolls aren’t bad either. I didn’t like Walmarts take on them and the clothing sets are not as nice as Targets.

I remember my mom gettin Molly from my dad WAYYYY back in the day. I’m 39 now. Molly is the sweetest and I used to work for American girl.. y’all should check out the Cafe they have with the girls and their dolls.. so sweet and such amazing memories 😊
