"This year, im really going to put alot more effort into it" dude you already produce professional quality content thats better than 95% of the stuff on t.v.
This comment needs way more likes so that he knows that we all agree

@@MrZashTheGreatdefinitely the aguanish river trip was epic.
Facts! I don’t know how he doesn’t have half a million subscribers yet!!!???!!!

Leaving the place better then you found it is what it's about when finding a cabin
In Australia, "Abandoned cabin" just means that it belongs to gigantic spiders now, and they're not accepting extra tenants.
Damn right buddy 😂❤😂
You're not wrong and if there are any holes in the wall keep your eyes out for a good old brownie.
@@jennyleef1775 brownie?
Yeah the insects in Australia are next level 😂
@@jennyleef1775 free brownies? Sounds like a good snack
Putting a "bandaid" on the roof was a nice neighborly thing to do. Maybe the next person will do something else and so on. I always enjoy your videos.
Glad to find an amazing youtuber to add to my stream
Welcome aboard, my friend
Like I said before...there are very few channels I don't skip through. This one I watch end to end so good on you man. Great work and I'm looking forward to seeing what more effort looks like
Yep Northern Scavenger and @LostLakes always watch!
@@michaelbroyer3918 Xander Budnick pretty good too.
Thanks so much, Rui !
@@michaelbroyer3918 I love Lost Lakes!
@@NorthernScavenger ya that channel makes great content for sure!
A macgyver job Noah! He’d be proud. 🇨🇦
😅😅😅👍👏
It's a beautiful day for a 12k hike. Hmmm let's do it. Can't blame you there. Usually there are not as many people adventuring when it's raining.
I love watching your channel, one of the things I enjoy is it's not all about killing the wildlife, it's not all about building your own homestead and 'sweat equity' - it feels like Canadian you tube wilderness is about something else - the wilderness and not about boys toys and so on. Also - as a Brit (whose family nearly emigrated to Canada, and whose cousins and aunt and uncle did) I love that there's all these British English phrases that turn up. Crappy being one. that feels British English, and some others I noticed on other vids. anyway thanks for the videos. great job.
Crappy is common American English too! I think it's universal! Cold, rainy, weather, the only word that fits is crappy!
White chocolate covered oreos has been my go to hiking snack for long trips. The amount of calories they give is awesome and they are amazing anyway.
having the whole box with you is dangerous though lol
Your a good man Noah I love how you always leave it better than you found it.
your channel is exceptional. I share the vids with my friends. Thanks for continuing to share your journeys with us.
You really make me think that hard is normal and pushing yourself to the limits is the way to go. Thank goodness for people like you and your mates.
This is awesome! Reminds me of a cabin we discovered while hiking/canoeing up north in Saskatchewan when I was young. It was dumping rain and we were SO thrilled to have found shelter, only to discover the roof was basically a sieve. 😂 But we put our garbage bag rain suits on and fixed up the place as much as possible, and put on a fire. It was warmer than outside and we were young and healthy enough that everything was a fun adventure! :)
Your channel should have a million subscribers
Thank you for repairing the roof as much as possible. Well done. New sub here. Love your channel.
Glad to have you, Deb
Always stoked to see the Northern Scavenger notification! Thanks for another beautiful video. Keep on paying it forward.
Where's Alex? Hope all is well.
Thanks Chris, Alex is doing well
Hi, Noah! Good on you for giving the cabin’s roof some love😊👏👏👏👏👏
"All my kingdom for an axe." Great video. Thanks.
You're so nice to fix that roof and stove pipe up. What a sweet little place.
That little cabin could be fixed up to be a nice place to camp and fish.
Be cool to see you return to this place
Nice cottage to come and relax. Good swimming there.
Dude!!! I watch and love all your videos but there is just something about these videos where you go discover a lost cabin and fix it up I absolutely love!! Maybe Its the mix of exploring slash giving back slash cabin building I can’t get enough! You really got something here! Thank you so much for the amazing content. You got a fan for life!
Glad to hear it, man! Thanks
Good fix with what you had Noah ! As long as it's in the bush it's all good , repairs & nice cook up looked awesome :)
Good job Mr Fixit. You gave that shitty shelter a new life and somebody else will benefit. But that's how you roll. Gotta love it. 'preciate you.
Thanks Noah, you walked into a rough situation with bare minimum resources to repair the neglected cabin, left it better than it was. {:-)
So wonderful to see your video. Noah you've been missed. Fantastic repair on the roof with what you had on site. Looking forward to upcoming explorations.
Great video as always! We need more people like you who take the time to fix something without being asked.
Love seeing what's happening in your neck of the woods😊
Just subscribed. Hey, Noah. My father's name is also Noah. Nice name for nice men. I love woods, rivers, lakes and all God's creatures. Being disabled, I now accompany you! Brings back best of times and memories. Thank you and God bless your heart ♥ 😊❤
I'm amazed at how many cabins you visit that are unlocked and seemingly open for anyone in the Nova Scotia backcountry. Is that sort of an expectation of cabin owners and builders?
If you lock it, people break in. If you leave it unlocked, it might get used but chances are it won't be wrecked
@@stevebobrowicz9626exactly. That is standard practice in the back country. Nobody minds if someone uses their cabin as long as they don’t destroy it leave it better than you found it for the owner or the next person who needs it. If you can leave food, fire wood , and like a sign I found in one said, sex toys. Just because it isn’t being used doesn’t mean it is abandoned
In Nova Scotia we have many of these backwoods cabins. The ones I've visited have all been public, or I've gotten permission from the owner. This one is a little different as it was built in a protected wilderness area and there is no documentation of a camp lease, which suggests the spot may have been illegally built
Plenty here in cape breton
In Scotland they build a very basic cabin for hikers to use if caught in bad weather.
Another quality adventure! I was not born with the handyman gene, so I'm always impressed to see folks try to repair stuff with little or no tools. Great backwoods repair! That stove, tho. It may be a goner. ☹️
Noah you seem to be planning your next outing before the finishing the one you are on!
Esker! Never knew about them, now I do thanks for pointing them out.
“NOAH’S Abandoned Camp Repairs No Job Too Small”.
haha, thanks Paul!
Love what you're doing mate, that's a beautiful part of the world.
Awesome repair with the tools in hand. Great adventure and fun to watch!
The green laken hanging from spruces we call woodbeard in my country. what a weet day, brrr, and sleep on an OLD mattress is discusting, I prefer a bench without anything on then and would bring my own sleepingmatt and sleepingbag. Food looked good yes.The surroundings look like in Finland/Suomi, the thousand lakes country it is called. Like people who improve places they are visiting that is a very good thing to do, thank you o
Love this stuff. Glad there are others who do this stuff for fun. Now I don't feel like a weirdo😂
I like the fact to always do repairs and maintenance when you leave a camp .
You're a good man Charlie Brown!👍
😂😂
Really good video. Enjoyed the Mcguyveresque cabin improvements! You left the cabin in a better state than it was and that's a very good thing to do.
I had a 2004 Matrix. It was a tank!!! I now have a Tacoma. Thanks for the adventure. Cheers from New Brunswick.
I really enjoyed watching you repairing this chimney/roof, could do more of those remote cabin repair trips :)
Good job being a JACK of all trades! WAY better than it was! Good job, Noah! TY😎
Excellent vid Noah. This could have easily run for an hour. Don’t know how on earth you got the job done AND do all the filming in 1 day. Oh, you should put that hammer in the Smithsonian!,
Very cool and you might save a lost hiker's life with those repairs you did/
That cabin and its location looks like a secret shop from an RPG game. So cool
Keep up the great content & try to bring your significant other, you two make a great team.
Cheers from sunny Florida.
It's a very beautiful spot. It's just in need of some TLC.
Hi Noah! That was a GREAT video. Very enjoyable...love your adventurous nature to be out in nature. You take awesome footage of the environment around you. Can't wait for the next one! Thanks sooooo much for sharing ( Karen from SW Ontario 🍻)
Thanks Karen, my favourite part of filming these trips is trying to capture the season and the environment of the spot. It makes me happy you enjoy that, as well. Cheers
Good work Noah keep it up. Excellent video as always. Cheers from the valley.
Impressive roof repair considering the resources!
That wee cabin is a gem to find and could be renovated , A great place for those traveling through to stay. and what a pretty area. Hey so kind of you to put a temporary fix on the camp hopefully more that come across it will do them same.
I always enjoy your videos.. I’m in Nova Scotia and would love to come along with my dog sometime.. I’m no professional or anything and would love to grow my skill set, don’t get me wrong, I’m not gonna suffer. Very best 🍻
I keep hinting to Noah that a small dog, like a french bulldog, would be a great addition to his videos! Haha ☺
Made my day, thanks for posting............ ! ! ! !
Al the best Noah, well done
Nice work on the leaks! You are so adventurous
Noah, I ALWAYS love these cabin vids. This is great. Thanks
nice repair job ...so very nice of you to fix the place up.

Jack of all trades Noah! Clever use of available resources indeed 🙂 Yikes, those mattresses are sketchy though ;-)
That would be a sweet place to buy and fix up. Great location. Nice video!
Love your respect for things and Nature, Noah. The world is a better place because of people like you! Much gratitude…
Great job, Noah 🙌
Your channel is awesome. Your trips are awesome. Your videography is superb. The geology and natural history lessons are a good bonus.
Much love Dan 💚
Well done, Noah
Oh my gosh what an amazing view from the cabin and the surrounding area. Just gorgeous. You have such a kind soul to be doing all these repairs.❤️
Thanks Trish
Thank you for taking care of that cabin for the next folks. Love the channel keep up the great work.
Will we be seeing more of Alex and the boys this year?
We got something in the works
You can start a new channel. Noah's caveman repairs. 😀
Great little find. Good to see you again.
Hello Noah, so happy to see another top-notch video by you. All these back woods cabin that you are going to makes for an awesome adventure that you document for all of us. Way to go and keep up the great content. Just one other comment for you to consider, just wondering if you could put a comment at the start of the videos stating what time of the year that your videos take place. This one seems like it may have been early/late fall as there were still frogs out. Just a thought for you to consider as it would be nice to know when you are doing your adventures. See you on your next video !!!! 🙂
Hey thanks Tom, this was a trip from a couple weeks ago
@@NorthernScavenger Only a couple weeks ago...WOW. I would have thought it was early/late fall what with the lakes around you that were ice free. The overhead drone shots showed that all the lakes were ice free. May have to do an early season fishing trip out there. Looked beautiful for sure. General area????
Now, that’s my kind of food - a strip steak. Just brown it on both sides and eat it. It won’t kill you.
Great job Noah Its always sad to see places that have been left abandoned like that. With the right owner could be a great little place.
but you made it work Well done keep doin it.
Great example of leaving it better then you found it..Thanks for all your efforts with your content..
Oh yeah!! My Wednesday just got epic! Thanks Noah!😁
Great job on the cabin repair 👌🏽👌🏽
Beautiful location. Good work on the fixes as well.

Another great adventure. Thanks
Another grand video! Appreciate the quality that goes into your work.
thought you were going to announce you bought the place... great job keeping the old cabin alive for a little longer!
Love it! That’s my style. Good on ya! I bet you’ll be back with tools anda window!. Thsnks!
Good job Noah...thank you.
You're a brave man for sleeping on that mattress, even if you had the inflatable and accordion mat on top of it! 😳
Good job on the roof and chimney!
I felt pretty brave 🙃
Great video as always! Thanks for sharing
Beautiful as always ❣️😘
Absolutely I love the content. Awesome video.
Thank you for showcasing Nova Scotia.
Great Ingenuity Noah. Good call on not getting on the roof. Your videos are so inspiring. Cheers
Well done.
Nice watching Noah. Excellent patch work!
I appreciate the justification for the high cookie consmption...lol How is Alex ??
My rule of thumb is you can eat whatever you want when you're in the woods 😂. Alex is well!
If they had stored the ladder inside the cabin it would have still been good. Great video, thanks for sharing. It's amazing that you left the place better than when you entered! Mcguire who...
What a saw. One stroke and it cuts thru like butter. Grin. Great as always Noah
I recently replaced the blade with a Bahco, and it makes all the difference
Doggone saw of yours cuts well! Great food shots.
Another great video !!
I always enjoy your content. Thanks for sharing
I wish your videos were longer. It seems like something is missing in these short 20 to 30 minute videos. Really enjoyed the full length version of your expeditions.
so peacefull
