Actually, it makes sense, even not long ago there are still parents that refuse to give sexual education to their children which ends up in thos kind of situations
And some parents don’t understand that they need to bc at the end of the day it’s human nature... some kids are already “trying” thing w themselves before they even know what that really is. And when they get to a certain age theyre going to remember the “things” they tried and how they felt and want to continue to do it. Even w daphne before she knew she could touch herself she was feeling intense attraction to Simon and it wasn’t just “burn :)” it was lust. Like when she was watching him lick a spoon or pull up his sleeves. Those are things that will naturally occur with human beings or any creature for that matter, but if they know nothing about it they will be ignorant af and can easily be taken advantage of, easily tricked, and always confused

Both actors did a great job. You can see her expression change, her eyes light up, she understands and when she does part of her innocence fades away, she can feel something changing inside. And he, his expression when he realises how pure she is, just makes him want her more and he has to interrupt the moment before he does something silly. Brilliantly acted.
The scene is so sexual yet the careful choice of word makes it so comforting. Her cluelessness shocks him (poor girls not knowing what they are getting themselves into) yet he articulate it so well. It's obvious it will make her uncomfortable but he tried his best to make her realise the reality.
I suggested my mother to watch this show when it's first trailer was released and i planned to watch it with her but something came up and i couldn't so she went alone watching the show and later when I saw everyone's reaction i thought it's good I didn't happen to watch the show with her beside me . It was a close call 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Impeccable writing that makes us all go over the edge with just words. No need for sultry music or nudity or even touching. The fact that they don't touch AT ALL makes that scene one of the best. You can just FEEL the intimate heat.

Honestly, I started watching Bridgerton only two months ago and I got to say, I had some high expectations. But at the same time I didn't expect much. After watching the first show I was so mesmerized that I just couldn't understand how can a show portray so well a time period and the story's characters. Every episode felt like the first breath of a fresh air after rain.
What do you mean "portray a time period so well"? With the extreme liberties they took with the show you can barely even consider it being based on a real period of time at all, it's more like a weird alternate reality.

Yet, I don't know, it's like in terms of dilemmas, production and environment/feel from the show, it gave me the sense as if I was part of that period, something that other shows that displayed the Elizabeth's era (or that before it) did not make me feel. But yeah, maybe it's a period I wish would have existed cause it doesn't match that well to the actual one lol
