This style Review is fantastic especially the Dna review. I love how you talk about the pin leaves and how to adjust to them with hand or surface. It helps understand not only how to use the ball in the correct way but understand lane play on the fly thats amazing.
Thanks for watching
Pretty awesome to see the ball roll when the lights are turned off please continue to implement that in the videos!
These deep dive reviews have really helped me pinpoint what balls to use in my arsenal. Always appreciate the content!
We appreciate you watching
The pattern overlay is super cool
Thanks for the feedback
I had the original Pink Idol and loved it but when I went down in weight I couldn’t find another in 14 lbs. will definitely pick this one up. Thanks for the review. I was on the fence about it but the review shows how similar it is to the original. Thanks for all your company does for the sport. ❤ #TEAMCTD
just bought one. was handy on a sports pattern. very versatile. i love it.
As a lefty, I find your videos very helpful. I don’t have your speed or revs, but I’m able to see what would work for me. Thanks!
Thanks for watching
Good video as always Ron, loving the approach you’re taking towards educating folks on the lanes. You should totally do a video with the lights out and the track lines for each shot on, that’d be awesome!
Thanks for the feedback
Wow that is so cool. The amount of technology you have on those lanes is amazing lol definitely wish I could bowl there. Would definitely help me work on my consistency.
great info , thanks
I'd say the shots in the dark are a good idea for consecutive shots. For example if you chase it right to see how much it hooks. However, I think it should be used after you demonstrated how the ball rolls so the basic characteristics of the ball have been shown beforehand.
Great Video!
Thanks for the feedback
Thanks for the review Mr. CEO. Ball is ordered pick up next Friday.
It's a good one for sure.
I enjoy your videos. Very informative. I was looking at the ball but I already have an idol Helios. How does this compare to that? Obviously the AI core will change a bit but would they cancel each other or be totally different? The Helios is my benchmark ball and do really well with it
Cool video talk tech bowling ball Ron hickland roto grip optimum idol with ai technology in the bowling ball more strike and spares hitting power at time
I am now a retired clinical massage therapist, and a competitive bowler for 20 years now. I can't help but notice you always have kinesio tape on your upper trapezius and I assume, middle and lower fibers of the trapezius as well in everyone one of your videos. I'm curious with my knowledge in the soft tissue manipulation and fascial structure of the musculoskeletal system I'm not sure why you would be wearing it for so long.
Maybe you are working with a physical therapist, but just to give a little information on what it does and it's primary usage is. In theory kinesio tape helps in supplementing the lost sensory input (known as “afferent” sensory input) from injured or inflamed tissues to help the brain move more normally. This contributes to a sense of neurological stability in joints, restoring normal function.
So long story short if you aren't dealing with injury or inflamed tissues or joints there's not much purpose to wearing it. In my days of clinical massage and I know everyone's different but I dealt with a lot of high level athletes and Kinesio tape was more of a placebo affect for a lot of clients of mine. Again I am just curious.
Send me an email at help@ctdbowling.com and let's discuss this further
I like your reviews but I would like to know what layout you’re using? Optimum idle
Just drilled one up for my self today and shot 785 out of box with it. The motion is very predictable and smooth off the end of the pattern. If anyone is interested I drill my equipment 2LS. Layout I went with is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 x 4
Nice bowling
Shot my first 300 with the OG purple idol can’t wait to get this one in my bag
This one is good
Would be nice in my Easter egg...
How does optimum idol compare with idol cosmos?
Can they be a good 1.2 combo?
This ball has Anthony Simonsen’s name written all over it, considering the success he’s had with Roto Grip’s Idol series.
Agreed
I darn sure like the clutch
Thanks for watching
Hey, Ron! As a huge fan of the OG Idol (one pin up and one pin down), how would you compare the Optimum to it? I'm a low rev speed dominant bowler whose A-game is typically down the 6-8 board with my left foot between 16 and 18 board. If my memory is correct, I have high tilt (50-60?) and low rotation.
I think the Optimum may be a tad stronger overall. Definitely worth looking at if you liked the original.
whats your dual angle layout ?
GB5 / Optimum idol / Phaze2
Which one you think is better for me?
I’m a (low tilts) (16.7mph) (410rpm) 2hand player.
I would go with the Optimum.
Ok...GB5 or Optimum Idol
which one are you taking??
Optimum Idol
No sniff test??
Yeah it didn't smell lol
Only Storm logo balls have a scent.
@@jayminer8773 and hammer 👀
It’s a hideous ball I don’t care how good it is I would never buy one 🤷🏻♂️
Explain. It’s only one of the best selling bowling lines in history.
@@TraumaER what can I say… I hate the color simple as that… sorry if you’re offended but I’m allowed my opinion. If you want one go buy it. Why does it matter to you what I think? I don’t hate purple but I dislike that shade very much 🤮
@@shanenorthrop1969it's not about how the ball looks. For Nationals, I'm taking two Phaze 2s, Pitch Black, Dark Code, and Plastic. I only care about what the ball does.
