- The Brewtools Inline filter is a fresh take on what a beer filter should be . It’s ideal for filtering directly from any fermenter with a tri-clamp flange Whether that’s a unittank under pressure or a standard conical fermenter.
I forgot to mention in the video because I was a little excited I was supplied this filter for review and testing. Brewtools Had absolutely no editorial input in the production of this video they are seeing it for the first time with everybody else!

I stumbled upon your channel when I went on to do some research on the Brewtools Unitanks and I have to tell you: that sent me down the rabbit hole that is your channel! I think you are doing a great job and I find your videos both educating and entertaining!
There is just a minor thing that I would suggest improvement on: in most videos there are phases when I can only hear your voice through one of my headphone speakers.
However, that is only a minor issue and it won't stop me from watching the remaining videos that I haven't watched yet :)

I got it from Amazon honestly it’s not the best it does the job. I recommend BrewersHardware

Very very nice have you checked out the Brewtools Facebook group yet it’s a pretty awesome community that’s something that Blichmann just doesn’t have in my opinion.
Thanks for the tip on Brewtools FB group. I'll check it out. I agree on Blichmann's seemingly lack of user groups. It was a chore to find enough info to figure out the Breweasy was what I wanted.

Hey Bradley, I’m confused about the sizing of the filters you said 1 micron for lagers (which is what I use - paper style) but as you said that the 1000 number scrolled up the screen - as if that’s a post production correction???? I thought 1000 micron is far less fine a screen than 300 (given 1 micron is widely regarded as the sweet spot for best clarity lagers) I asked Øyvind but have not heard back????
I miss spoke when I said 1 µm that’s why I scrolled 1000 past you are correct I did label them backwards in the video and I was referring to the 300 size … if you check the website the size is listed are the sizes I reference just not in the right order.. The sizes available being 300 600 & 1,000 Micron
@@PortlyGentleman so the finest filter is 300 micron. This seems way too big for a good lager filtration which as I said is usually 1 micron - I hope Brewtools bring out finer filters as I REALLY like this design
I don’t think their intent is to get that level of filtration. I honestly wouldn’t mind playing with one that had 100 µm size 🍻
Hey oyvind said those are meant to filter out hopsize particles and it is not a fine filter for lager clearness.

Yes it will you might have to get a 1.5 inch to 2 inch adapter they’re pretty cheap on Amazon

This looks pretty dang cool, but damn it is spendy. I guess the beauty of the bouncer type filters is price - I bought the off brand option on amzn for about $15.. That said, the last time I used it for an ipa it clogged 3 times, but recleaning and co2 purging it a few times wasn't a huge deal.. but was a time waster.
I would agree it’s definitely not cheap built to last I think .. at least you were smart enough to buy the offbrand and not waste your money 🍻 like the rest

@@samuelwilli165 I was referring to a "3/8" Hose Barb in-Line Strainer with 50 mesh Stainless Steel Filter Screen" filter on amzn. It's fine for low hopped beers that are cold crashed well. Since this comment I bought "Homend Filter Tri-Clamp Sanitary SS304 Inline Straight Strainer with 100 Mesh Stainless Steel Screen (1.5 inch)" which works incredibly well for heavily hopped beers that have been cold crashed.
I always learn a lot. I really like your philosophy about brewing and equipment. Thanks!

Did anyone have any problems with customs? My brewing system shipped using DHL. They send me a text wanting info from me which is fine. But they also want me to get more info from brewtools. Manufacturing address name and one other thing. Called brewtools they said get with DHL. Called DHL for the 4th time. They said they emailed brewtools for the info but if I could call them and get the info that would work also. Customs told me it would be sent back by the 26th of March if they don’t get the info they need. Seems like I’m having to do a lot of work for the $3100 dollars I spent. Hope I get this resolved. Don’t know what it will take to get my money refunded.
