Today is Day 2 of reading music notation with ukulele.

I’ve never really thought that reading music would be something I’d be able to learn - it has seemed like a language that is just to far outside of my skill set. Thank you for making this so approachable and giving me the confidence that this is something I will be able to do and to keep pressing forward!
Okay…I just want to say that I’ve been trying to learn to read music on and off for AGES. I can play multiple stringed instruments but all by ear or reading chord diagrams/tablature. I’ve even bought a couple books on learning to read music and spun my wheels and got nowhere. One of them was even tailored to the ukulele! But THESE VIDEOS have gotten me reading the notes for basic melodies better and faster than anything else! You are such a patient, gifted, and encouraging teacher. Thank you for these videos!!! 🤙

I've never played a musical instrument nor learned to read music. I chose the 4-string ukulele because I have short fingers and hoped I could stretch them enough to play, LOL. I purchased a book that includes a video with short segments of teaching for ALMOST each lesson. When I got to the "Reading Standard Music Notation" lesson, I found there is no detailed video session to help explain. I was excited to find your lessons on reading music notation!!! I hit a wall but your lessons are helping me to go forward. Knowing to play the G note on the 3rd fret of the E string and the D note on the 5th fret of the A string was also extremely helpful!! I've also started your 30-day Uke Challenge. Thanks so much!

Love how you added the notes slowly..then turned them into a song. :) I tried to learn to read music 25 years ago, (and play piano...neither worked out too well. Lol)and all I remeber is it was super hard and the G note was the line the treble clef wraps around. Two vids with you and Im moving forward. Thanks a bunch!

You help them find the gift of music and for many of us (myself included) its something we've wanted our whole lives, but just couldnt get there.
