    Very interesting but why must the host rush the guest like this? Why doesn't she cook the food herself then.

    Aunty Kasturi yr biryani recipe is amazing. Looks scrumptious. I will surely try your recipe. The downside of this show is that the host is annoying by talking too much. I would have preferred you to do the talking. Wld have been pleasant to hear

    The presenter needs to give the guest cook a chance to explain in her way without interrupting. Makes the video very unprofessional. Leave questions and opinions out until she is done. Maybe the presenter must do her own video as she seems very eager.

    Very nice video Reena...if I may suggest with your allowance...please avoid leading the guest cook and let them do it exactly their way while narrating the procedure themselves.That may probably avoid clash of points made during the process. Questions are very good but just avoid having an input and rather allow the guest to perform...I hope this is not offending.

      Hi Mpilo. Thank you. We appreciate your feedback. We've received a few harsh comments on this and we appreciate your tactful approach. Reena is volunteering her time on this project, she is working on improving her hosting but unfortunately these episodes are from two years ago when we first started.

      Agreed. The guest needs a chance to speak. The host talks way too much and unnecessarily.

    Hi , on what heat level do you cook your lamb for 45 minutes

    • @PassingItOn
      @PassingItOn  Před 4 lety

      Hi Jayshree. Sorry the delay. Aunty Kasturi's advice is as follows. First braise it on high for about 5min.
      Then add your spice, tomatoes and salt. This will then release some water in the mix, thereafter lower the temperature according to the heat of your stove and allow it to cook for 1/2 hr. Keep checking it until it's at the preferred texture that you desire.

    How long did you guys let it cook by itself before you were able to eat it?

    • @PassingItOn
      @PassingItOn  Před 4 lety

      Hi. Thank you for the question. Cook the meat according to your preferred texture. The breyani dhall and rice should be grainy. After you layer the breyani, it will be moist. Let it heat on the stove on a low temperature until the moisture dries out. This will allow the flavor to be absorbed. Keep checking every 15 minutes.

      Hi. Rough salt is large-grained, coarse salt and biryani dhall is brown lentils. I hope this helps.

    • @PassingItOn
      @PassingItOn  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Eddy. Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it. We actually have aprons but it's optional for our guests. When guest cooks come on the show, especially the old folk, it's kind of a big deal to them and they dress up for it. (Not that we esteem ourselves that highly) For example, in our first few episodes, the guests used to wear their "fancy" Eastern Wear. So we didn't want to insist that they cover up with an apron. Nonetheless it is important to wear an apron.

    • @PassingItOn
      @PassingItOn  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Bizzo. Thank you for your feedback. Reena doesn't mean to be that way. On this particular day, we were recording a few episodes with multiple guests and they were rushing and changing outfits between scenes as one guest did the ingredients on one recipe, then another cooked their recipe... It was hectic and that rushed energy shows in some of the episodes. We record multiple videos in one session to lighten our load of setting up each time and this allows the hosts to record in advance as this is time taken away from their families. It is unintentional and we will endeavor to get this right.
