    I was ecstatic when I saw that HARPAD 12-string converter. I wanted one right then and there, but then I heard how expensive it was. almost $400 for that? I’ll just buy an actual 12-string guitar for that price... might be useful if you want to transform your J-45 into a 12-string or something but for lower-budget players such as myself, that’s not worth it. I mean, why even is it so expensive? It’s a big piece of plastic with strings on it, why would it cost that much?

    On the GuitarJo subject...I have heard Guitar George is George Young, Angus and Malcolms big brother. When I was young for some reason I thought it was reference to Beatles Harrison I didn't get...because his guitar weeps,so gently.

    That beats the spider capo! Really cool. So many options. You could put those pegs going opposite direction as well

    But wouldn’t the 12 string thing have different thickness for each string would it be weird with all kind of messed up strings

    • @dxmirr
      @dxmirr Před 3 lety +1

      sometimes 12 strings just double the strings to make the sound a bit thicker, kinda like a chorus

    • @theabsolute23
      @theabsolute23 Před 3 lety +5

      The high string in the courses of a 12 string are an octave higher than standard tuning, so they’re all gonna be super light strings relatively similar if not the same in gauge.

    The Guitar-Jo sounded more like a muffled sitar.
    Makes me wonder if it's possible to machine saddles that can be switched into sitar mode individually.

    The first two gadgets are awesome!
    The banjo thingy has the super twangy sound but the electric pickup vibe comes through. Could it maybe work better on an acoustic?
    And it's a shame the Submarine has those issues. I read about it a couple of years ago and desperately wanted one but it was not sold on any store that shipped to Ecuador. I ended up getting the same effect plugging my guitar through a crossover out to two preamps. Here's a test recording of that setup in case somebody wants to check how it sounds:

    7:04 I gotta admit, it is indeed pretty cool to be able to accompany yourself by putting distortion on only the "rhythm strings". Unfortunately, it's not good distortion
