We recently spent a few days visiting Kingsport, TN to visit Jack's brother who lives in the area. While there, we were able to visit several fun attractions that were suggested by both Jack's brother and TripAdvisor. We had a lot of fun exploring the area and seeing what they had to offer. In this video, we check out a local mansion that is open to the public, the closest thing to a water park in the area, an area volunteer project that result the refurbishment of a 1956 carousel, and a fun park that had a lot of things to do and see! We even throw in an honorable mention to a local doughnut shop we enjoyed - because doughnuts are fun. We loved this city and are excited to share these local attractions with you!

We didn't know much about Kingsport ourselves until our visit. But it was a lovely area west of the Blue Ridge Mountains and east of the Great Smoky Mountains. We loved the area. Then we traveled from there to Pigeon Forge, TN for even more fun - which you will see in upcoming videos. We are glad we were able to show you an area you hadn't see before. The lazy river looks great! And a 900 foot deep lazy river would be very interesting and stressful LOL!! I'm not sure if I would want to see wild bobcat in person LOL!! Great video guys!

Wow Allandale Mansion complex looks so pretty Alice. Two of my cousins live in Tennesee. Never been there. Watching your video make me want to visit that beautiful state.
We hadn't spent much time in Tennessee ourselves. But since Jack's brother has moved there, we were glad we got to check out some interesting places to visit while we spent time with him. I would love to visit Allendale Mansion, beautiful. The interior would be interesting. The lazy river looked like fun. I would be a big kid and ride the Carousel. Wow! and its not just horses. The Adventure Course would be lots of fun. I would definitely find those reptiles very interesting. There is a lot to do here and those raptor presentations are always interesting. An interesting centre Jack, Bees, Turtles, Rocks, dinosaurs..... I didn't know there had to be an age limit for fishing, how strange. A great park, beautiful and green. I don't think we should bother your brother with accomodation Jack 🤣 Thank you for sharing your adventure. Have a great day.🤗
We thought the age limit for fishing was very random. We even tried to search the internet to figure out why they had age limits. But we couldn't find any explanation. But we did find several sites that confirmed only people over the age of 55 or under the age of 16 can fish there. The only thing I can imagine is that they both want people to fish there but also don't want the areas of the park along the water to be overly crowded so the created arbitrary age limits. But yeah- it seems strange. I guess we won't invite people to stay at Jack's brother's house on vacation. But he was very kind to let us stay there a few nights before we continued on further into Tennessee. Thanks for watching and commenting!

We love Tennessee. It's so beautiful and the people are so friendly. The Mansion is beautiful. The water slides and pool look fun. I'd try Seaver's donuts without convincing too. The world's most dangerous animal is right. I'm sure your brother would love you to post about the amenities of his home.
Kingsport was a fun area. We found a number of interesting things there to keep us busy during our stay. Tennessee is a lovely state. We really enjoyed vacationing there. I am sure Jack's brother would not enjoy us posting a video of his home's amenities. But we had a lovely stay there a few night before moving on to Pigeon Forge. Love the mansion & grounds! We love lazy rivers as well….love the water park! That carousel is beautiful! Love that it’s inside. Those donuts looked amazing! That adventure course looks fun! We love zip lining. We have bobcats in the woods behind our house…only seen one once in 40 years so they don’t bother us. Great tour of the area!
We would have loved to see a bobcat in person. Not sure where the bobcat was. Maybe he was just well hidden in his enclosure somehow. Or maybe he was out for a vet appointment or something. We haven't spent much time in Tennessee ourselves. But we spent several days in Kingsport and then moved on to spend several days in Pigeon Forge. We really had a great time. We definitely recommend visiting the Smoky Mountains area if you ever have a chance. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment!
There does look like there’s a lot to do in Kingsport, TN. The mansion and water parks were a nice way to relax. Love the nature center and outdoor areas to explore. Those bees and aquarium, oh and those turtles lined up sunning we’re definitely a favorite.
We love any kind of attraction that gets us a chance to see animals up close (but at a safe distance). So the park was fun. We were glad there was glass between us and the bees because that was a ton of bees in that hive! We had a lovely visit to Kingsport. Thanks for checking out our video!

The carousel does have a really cool story. Jack is going to take me to a planetarium the next time we are near one that is open. I grew up in a rural area in the mountains that just didn't have one. Kingsport realy is a lovely town. And it is just a few miles up the road from Gray, TN. It was a lovely area. From here we moved on to Pigeon Forge, TN and we found a lot to do there as well. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

I will definitely save this video for my future travels to Tennessee! Seth and I have been through Kingsport before but didn't get to spend a lot of time there so we definitely want to go back! I only wish I would have known about Seaver's doughnuts the last time we were in the area 😂 that orange dreamsicle one sounded delicious! Bay's Mountain Park looked really cool! I love when places tell you why and how they got their animals. Turtles are so hilarious! The don't move much at all when they're sun bathing. I think they're very majestic creatures! You guys went to a lot of great places. It's really cool that you have family in the area too! Thanks for sharing :)
That orange dreamsicle doughnut was so wonderful. I want to go back just to eat more of those donuts. Unfortunately, it is a several hours drive west of us so making a trip for doughnuts is difficult to justify. We really did enjoy Bay's Mountain Park. And we stood there watching the turtles more than five minutes before sensing slight movement. We really did think at first they were statues of turtles. The water park looked like so much fun! I had never heard of Kingsport and had to look it up on a map. Were you visiting someone? It seems a little out of the way and not really a destination. These seem more like local attractions?
Yes, we were visiting Jack's brother who lives in Kingsport, TN. We stayed there a few days before moving on to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. Most of our videos are going to be from bigger travel destinations. But if we ever have to stop in a smaller town, we make videos there too if we can find anything that is fun or interesting to do. We did this in Bluffton, South Carolina last year when we traveled there for a wedding. Or the Virginia park where we stayed in a yurt - it was in the middle of nowhere, but we stopped on our way somewhere else. We figure if we find ourselves in a small town looking for something to do while visiting someone, other people might find themselves in a similar spot one day and could use our channel as a resource if they are looking for something to do in the Kingsport area. But we will move on to some bigger tourist destinations right quick. Thanks for watching Heather!
