The "we/me" thing is intentional by Trump. He conflates himself with the country for his base of supporters, and that's totally on purpose. He IS now the country, to them, and so if anyone tries to do something actually FOR the country but it's in opposition to Trump, his followers will side with Trump because their patriotism has now been co-opted into support for his authority. Being patriotic now = supporting Trump, for them. That's authoritarianism. To supporters, the 'good of the nation' is now the good of: This Guy. So in this way they become completely inoculated against reality and the idea of actual rule of law and actual democracy. And that's how fascist brainwashing has always worked. It's cult-like, orbiting a charismatic leader who talks more incessantly about enemies and evil while promising the world and heaven, creating things for people to fear, and then giving them vague "hope" in the form of... himself. People who can't afford to be further disillusioned than they already are or even afford to pay for their own healthcare. And all for Donald Trump's own wealth and power. It would be an interesting history lesson if we weren't living it in real time.

My favorite part outside the unhinged ranting is him bragging about there being 40,000 people in the arena and thousands more waiting outside. I was born in Battle Creek, lived there until I was 15, and have been to the Kellogg Arena many times. For ice shows, concerts, the circus and a basketball game. It's only big enough for about 7,000 people. And the location it's in, there is no where for thousands of people to stand outside. And no way people are going to stand out there in the freezing-cold winter wind! Though not technically part of the snow belt, I lived in the country, and I used to say "the wind blows across Chicago, sucks up Lake Michigan, and dumps it at my house". If you look into his rallies you can find that some of the people there have been payed to be there, just like the workers at one of his rallies would not get paid unless they stayed at the rally and most of them could not afford to lose a whole days pay. The workers that did stay were not allowed to leave and blocked by security until Trump had left the premises.

He was angry at event security for being “too polite to a protester”? Trump is something else. During one of Obama’s last speeches as president, a Trump supporter and war veteran was there protesting and people began booing him. John McCain did a similar thing when at one of his rallies the crowd started chanting about Obama and the whole birther bullshit and McCain defended Obama, that he was U.S. born and focusing on that deflected the real issues. Basically, a poor social model such as the one in the US will attract migrants with lower expectations, and therefore more trouble makers.
If the Americans understand that social corrections do not imply authoritarianism, let alone fascism, but that Trump and his Russian bosses are actually the unamerican opponents of freedom and liberty, then Sanders stands a very big chance still. However, the powers that are in charge and control the media, and people who are misled by the falsehoods, and who cannot assess politics in an academic way yet feel they should be opinionated nevertheless, may again trap into the fairytales of Trump, who is a salesman more than a diplomat after all.
If you feel the need to dismiss Sanders based on alleged extremism, you're probably afraid you're starting to like his ideas. Check his appearance in Joe Rogan's show and then tune in again.

Personally I think that a lot of people were in the same situation I was just because they had given up on the system. In 2014 I didn't vote for a single republican or democrat even in uncontested races. If there wasn't an independent or third party running I just left it blank. I was fed completely up with the political system.

As long as we don't have any back stabbers on the ballot I'm hitting a straight Republican ticket but doing it one race at a time to make sure they don't pull any crap with the voting machines. If Trump doesn't win my state by a landslide I'm going to consider it fraud. I don't personally trust ANY of the voting machine crap anymore. It's too easy to rig. I want to go back to hand counted paper ballots and I want a receipt. I always fill out a paper ballot but it is all scanned and counted which is just as bad.
They need to have a sheriff's deputy stationed at EVERY polling place to make sure that no nonsense is going on. No more bus loads of illegal aliens or truck loads of 'found' ballots like in Florida.
If the people loose faith that their votes matter and that the process is fair there is only one alternative and nobody really wants to see that.
