I was talking about the hearing last weekend with an acquaintance of mine, and she confided to me that growing up in Georgia she had an uncle who was an alcoholic. In a very bad way. Constantly in and out of rehab. Always in trouble with the law. Anyway, she said that the response Brett gave in the hearing when Senator Klobuchar asked him about his drinking ("It's - you're asking about, you know, blackout. I don't know. Have you?, Yeah, and I'm curious if you have.") was _exactly_ how her uncle used to act when the family would confront him about his alcoholism.

It must be all of that unpleasant freedom everyone talks about. Or perhaps it is the opportunity to work hard and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
What conflict happening in foreign governments are you referring to? One of the things we love about America is that we can argue and criticize our government. Then we can go to the ballot box on election day and vote the bastards out of office.

Roger London your comment was really awful. As a Christian, I personally do not support legalizing abortion and I believe marriage should be heterosexual (though I don't agree that it should be legally enforced, it's not the court's place to enforce Christian values). But everything you said in your comment (that I could understand anyway) was shameful and disgusting. May I ask you why you are against gay marriage? Is it due to Christian values? Because if so, explain how your Christian values allow you to believe it's right to google the photo of this woman naked. I am really shocked that any human being would do something so awful, and anybody who would do that, let alone encourage others to do so, is not reflecting anything resembling Christianity whatsoever.
None of us know whether or not Blasey-Ford is telling the truth. My first instinct upon hearing about it on the radio was that these accusations have been happening so much lately and that she is likely lying. But upon hearing the testimonies from both of them and seeing the evidence, I am now inclined to believe her story and doubt a lot of his testimony. What makes you so convinced that she is lying? Was it based on what you previously decided before you saw any evidence or was it based on conclusions made after?
Let's say that she is lying. She isn't the one nominated for the supreme court so it doesn't really matter that she's a liar. What _would_ matter then is Kavanaugh's current behaviour, during this whole process because he is the one being nominated for a very important position. If he did lie under oath, then he cannot become a supreme court justice, regardless of whether or not the accusations are true.
Edit: Seeing your comments in other places in this comment section makes me suspect that maybe you are trolling (and I really hope that you are). If not, people who speak like you make me think that they're republicans first before anything and use Christianity to justify their stances, rather than Christians first who base their politics on Christian values.

Roger London we now we have a possible Supreme Court justice that can’t admit he took alcohol up his ass and has threesomes. Thanks to the Republicans I see patients that cannot afford prenatal care and can’t take care of their precious fetus. We have 5,000 children of immigrants in captivity here in the us, while many of their parents were the deported. We have children in NICU with parents that cannot afford the care due to Obama care being destroyed. These same babies will now have to pay extra for being born sick and having a preexisting conditions. We have children whose after school programs
Have been cut, because you know, the top 1% had to have their tax cut.
So while it is very touching that you “moral” republicans want to save unborn babies and judges that lie about taking alcohol through their butthole and support the pussygrabbing president, it would be great if you gave a rats ass about newborn babies and children. It would be nice if you cared about the kids after their born instead of voting for a party that cares more about tax breaks for golf course owners (that’s an actual tax credit now) than prenatal care for pregnant women and medical insurance for all Children.

People in positions of power, especially those with professions in law enforcement and the judicial system, are the most likely to surmise they are above the law. In turn, they're also the most likely to cross boundaries, push limits, and blatantly break the law -- because they believe they'll get away with it. The same thing goes for privileged people. How much do you want to bet that Kavanaugh's wife and daughters will come out one day proclaiming they've been abused by Brett?! I'd put money on it!!! We do not live in a world primarily comprised of critical thinkers. Many voters have a very simple black and white mentality. I watched the bulk of the hearing a few days ago. The moment that sticks with me from Kavanaugh's testimony, beyond his weird shifts between blubbering and fury, is his _terrible_ selling of the 'Devil's Triangle' lie. It came at the end of a list of colloquialisms he was asked to define. Every one of them up to that point he had answered with some confidence, true or false. But 'Devil's Triangle' caught him out so well, his answer could serve as the prime example for people wanting to know what "pulling an answer out of one's own ass" means.

I'd never heard the expression before - so the Kavanaugh hearing was the first. His reaction and answer told me right away that whatever the Devil's triangle was, Kavanaugh didn't want to say - and that his vague answer about a game was a lie. So too were his answers about Boofing, Ralph club and the Renate Alumini. He lied - badly. In doing so he proved he isn't honorable, honest or trustworthy.
I'd reject him for a job at Burger King.

He already is a judge. He knows how testimonies go. He knows what perjury is. But if he did it anyways, that shows he's a judge that doesn't actually care about the law. That's why we all have to come out and vote, choose a side and vote regardless of its blue or red, all American's need to be heard.

Hillary lost because of Russia. The election was so obviously manipulated if you look at the results. They were tailored to ensure Trump won technically while not even beginning to hide that Hillary, aside from Obama's 2008 win, received more votes than any other US presidential candidate in history.

Love that John Baptiste played the theme from Miles Davis’ ‘Four’ when Colbert was talking about four people - probably the most brilliant music sting I’ve ever heard.

Did Trump just trash himself? Basically saying that he is such an awful person that if you add alcohol even he agrees that he would be completely out of control?

Definition: #DevilsTriangle A made up game of quarters with three cups arranged in a triangle. The rules are unknown because the inventor of the game, #BrettKavanaugh, could not explain them under oath.

But it was very popular at this time ! And then the Lefties came in wagons with their indecency and changed the meaning while laughing evilly at Kavanaugh. Few brave souls tried to give back its original meaning but the Communists were too strong and kept on ruining the innocence of these oh so pure words. #StalineDidThis! #HillaryToo!
(Should I point out it's a joke ? Nah... People are not this stupid, right ?.... Wait...)

The statue of limitations on rape and sexual assault in the US needs to be removed. A crime doesn't stop being illegal just because a certain amount of time has passed
