I'm queer and non-binary and a viewer of your channel. I have been pleasantly surprised by your Pride month theme and just wanted to say thank you for doing that, being open and being all around awesome like that. This is indeed how you do it! Thanks!
You should totally do sections from Joe’s show “Joe Lycett’s Got your Back”, when he takes on scammers and huge companies! Totally worth a watch or two!
Joe Lycett is amazing. His unrelenting need to make the lives of shady people, corporations and scammers difficult is amazing. No slight is too small or petty for Joe to go into Epic Troll Mode, but he always does so in creative and amusing ways
It's rare and incredible seeing dudes like you being such good LGBT+ allys Like, I'm British, I'm also trans and pansexual, and in my experience straight white beardy American guys don't usually like us much so this is really lovely
Which one? The one where he got a ticket for parking in a taxi rank or the one where he got a ticket for accidently saying he parked in Leeds? The fact the man has more than one parking ticket fiasco worthy of a stage is quite a thing XD
Joe recently changed his name to Hugo Boss, he did this because Hugo Boss kept suing people or small businesses with similar names, so he changed his name to theirs and made loads of social media posts try and get them to sue him, unfortunately they never took the bait, I guess they realised they would not win against Joe.
@@Taemoco I think it is that, the publicity divisions of these companies now know how bad it is for their reputation if they and take on Joe Lycett, he has taken on Shell, Barclays and many more large corporations and made them look foolish, which is why Hugo Boss ducked out of the fight, it also helped a small brewery in Wales called Boss brewery win a court case against Hugo Boss, the brewery was allowed to keep the name as if was the surname of the owner, (the same as Joe's new name), however they did have to cease selling branded clothing. I guess they also would not want Joe making a big issue of them making uniforms for the Nazi party in the 1930's and 1940's, using slave labour from Poland and France, which I think he was intending to do if sued.
It's the way Joe Lycett calls people out. He never takes sides and he's doesn't get in your face by telling everyone their wrong, he merely presents how another point of view. You'll have to check him out out on 8 Out Of Ten Cats Does Countdown
Joe Lycett getting a parking fine reversed is still one of my all time favourites of his. Just happens to be on 8 out of 10 cats too, which I know is a channel favourite. Lol.
Hey, guys. Long-time subscriber (gay dude in Sydney AUS) here. Just wanted to thank you guys for your Pride theme vids. Always enjoy your content and this was a nice thing to see you do. Joe Lycett is one of my favourites. Check out more of his stuff - he's hilarious.
So glad u have been introduced to Joe he's a great comedian and just loves to argue and cause trouble, if you are interested in doing some more of his work try parking fine or renting a flat in London he has also taken on Hugo Boss and actually changed his name to Hugo Boss to fuck with them 🙂
As a subscriber, another great reaction! As a trans woman, another great reaction! Seriously though I appreciate that you asked for people from the community during pride month, it actually means a lot more than you might think. Much love, hope you're both doing well ❤
Many thanks for posting this and also for your Pride theme posting - you guys rock. Non dramatic acceptance IS happening (s-l-o-w-l-y) and gents like you are leading the way. One day, what people get up to in the bedroom (or wherever) won’t be an issue so the more videos out there like this, the better.
I always watch reactions within this topic with trepidation, hoping I don't learn the people I've previously supported and enjoyed are narrow minded, unkind and backward. I am so pleased you're as wonderful as I'd hoped. Already subbed but I'll pop on the bell too now. Keep up the good work, long may you continue to grow your channel.
Joe is super funny and clever, and when you realise he comes from the same place as Peaky Blinders, UB40, Duran Duran, Dexy's, Ozzy Osbourne + Black Sabbath, you get that Birmingham is about as diverse as it gets :D If you can find any of Joe when he takes on the Banks, the Corporations, the local town council, parking ticket officers etc you will really enjoy how he brings them down in such a brilliant way. I hadn't realised that you'd included Joe because of your doing pride stuff, I thought it was just part of finding England's funniest comedians. If you haven't found them yet try Maisie Adam, Ed Gamble, James Acaster, Kerry Godliman etc Keep up the good work !
In one of his other routines he walks out onstage and says " Well, if you don't know me I'm bisexual which means that you're all at risk, doesn't it? " The funniest part about his tirade against Barclays bank is that here in the U.K. 'having a Barclays' or 'being a Barclays banker' are respectively rhyming slang for having a wank or being a wanker. I'm surprised that he didn't mention that during this routine of his. While I don't like to put the fear of God into either of you two you should bear in mind that no matter which gay venue you go into wherever they're located that there's always at least one gay or bisexual man in there that fancies you. ✌😁✌
Great reaction. And the "you probably know why I'm writing you you bitch", "Daft bastard!" and "Bob's your uncle" is actually from a bit earlier in the show about his friend who's an English teacher and one of his students wrote a letter like that. You should definitely check out more of his stand up. He's also been on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown which is hilarious!
Another great reaction guys. I love Joe, he’s hilarious. That letter he wrote to Barclays would have made more sense if you’d watched the first half of his stand up, where he tells a story of someone learning English and they had to write a letter of complaint. That’s why the audience laughed at the ‘bitch’ and ‘daft bastard’ phrases. You should check out his parking fine complaint that’s brilliant too. 👍
Loved this stand up from Joe (never watched this particular video) and also loved your reaction. I know it sounds dumb, but I love when I see open-minded straight guys. Something that should be extremely common, isn't *that* common yet. :(
I've stopped watching u for few mothhs and just noticed this a d I'm so happy I'm back well done for the pride month I'm going to catch up on ur videos tonight ❤
Joe is amazing guys - he has great standup you could check out, a show where he gets justice for people who have been swindled in the funniest ways, he has played with email hackers (so funny), and he is the new Travel Man. He is super!
So glad you’ve got round too Joe he’s one of my favourite comedians I just love him. His letters are brilliant and he really writes these letters too anyone that. Put his back up and then when he says he’s got a letter back he reads them out he’s just hilarious. There’s one about him getting a parking ticket 🎫 and that is just genius more Joe please 🙏 great reaction Love from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴🤣🤣😂😂👏👏👏👏💞💞💞😘
I'm not sure if you've seen him before as I just found this channel... but Russell Howard is amazing for making you think of really difficult issues but also being hilarious
@Spencer, around 15:50 when you are making a comment about the LGBTQIA+ community (although like Joe, in casual everyday speech in UK English most likely would say "LGBTQ+"), but anyway, you went through and you did get it right yes, but what I think matters more is what you said right after: "I really hope i got that right". It sounded sincere, and that is appreciated. As you commented you still have a tendency at times to 'goof' (I think that is what americans say?!) but you do also seem a lot more open minded and wanting to learn as times goes on, and that is great, be inquisitive, ask questions, be curious but tactful. When you posted the community post I commented then that you should check out Eugene's (from The Try Guys) coming out video, and for the best understanding to watch the "making of"/behind the scenes video of the actual video, before the actual video! (are you still following?!), idk if that is something that we may get coming up, but I would really recommend you both to watch it even if not for a reaction, but just for the honesty and openness that someone who was previously very guarded shared, and how I think it might help spread understanding. I also want to add on that post, you should check out Susan Calman, who is a Scottish comedian she's v funny, and has a wife, and several cats, and used to work in a really specific area of law. She's been a team captain on a panel show that I cannot think of the bloody name. I think it was through BBC NI studios? so might be online only and not aired in GB, idk. but she's been on other things too. 🏳🌈
Great vid. I like Jim Jeffries take on the most progressive generation. To my parents generation acceptance of camp performers was seen as a forward step. For my generation pushing for gay rights was the thing. As for my kids it's gender identity. As Jim points out just because generational attitudes take time to adjust to the new reality, doesn't make one a bigot, and that acceptance (possibly not the right word) cuts both ways
Guys you really need to put a limiter on your mics, especially when you get too close to them, The volume difference between the videos and your mics gets painful and I have to sit by the volume control in case you blow my speakers. Apart from that it's a great channel.
I've enjoyed Australia week and Pride Week, interested to see if there are any other themes you guys come up with, it gives a bit more variety to the channel. maybe 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's weeks, 1 song, 1 football/rugby video, 1 motorsport video, 1 comedian, 1 TV show, 1 significant event video, and 1 video you guys would like to show us? just an idea
My favourite is when he changed his name to Hugo Boss by deed poll to take Hugo Boss on a couple of years ago. Can’t remember the details but it did cause me much amusement at the time.
You should watch the whole gig in your spare time. As the swearing at the beginning of the letter is a reference to another joke/story of his friend Peter who teaches Japanese people in England how to speak English; and he gave them homework.
I'm a month late to the party, but if you guys are interested in learning more about some of the lesser known identities out there (namely asexuality and aromanticism) you should check out Being Not Straight by Jaiden Animations. It's a lovely video that I think explains these things quite well with funny anecdotes and nice illustration!
Waking up covered in gender fluid makes me think of the of Ghostbusters II. Peter MacNicol's character, Dr. Janosz Poha, is sprayed with the positive slime. His line when he comes to: "...why I am drippings with goo?"
Our Pride in Birmingham UK (where Joe Lycett is from incidentally) is sponsored by HSBC. A couple of weeks after Pride I found out they denied a trans woman a change to the name on her account. I am never going again. It is very much Rainbow June and stark black n white the rest of the year. I also saw Tom Daley in a train station. He walked past me with 2 coffees towards the platforms. Behind him was a hunched over man pushing two huge heavy suitcases. I look again and this hunched over man was his husband, Oscar winning director Dustin Lance Blank 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Joe's enitire career is about trolling all the nasty people/ things he comes across. And he does it so creatively. It's always funny. The lengths he went to just to avoid paying a parking fine were stupendous.
I'm seeing Joe in London on Sunday, can't wait. There are so many other clips to check out - parking fines, ISIS, Birmingham. This week he's been in the news because someone complained to the police about a joke he made. Will find out on Sunday what that was all about!
I'm queer and non-binary and a viewer of your channel. I have been pleasantly surprised by your Pride month theme and just wanted to say thank you for doing that, being open and being all around awesome like that. This is indeed how you do it! Thanks!
Non binary. Neither man, nor woman. Intersex. I think not.
So many reaction channels tend to be quite conservative so these fellas being so cool is a breath of fresh air.
You should totally do sections from Joe’s show “Joe Lycett’s Got your Back”, when he takes on scammers and huge companies! Totally worth a watch or two!
It's a really good show.
Definitely worth a reaction!
I really liked Joe and after watching “Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back”, I love him. I hope they watch it too.
An excellent show
Joe is brilliant my favourite is when he received a parking ticket.
absolutely genius.
Thanks guys for a brilliant Reaction
Yep, first time I heard Joe Lycett - the (true) parking ticket story was genius!
I was just about to suggest this too
Parking ticket is hilarious 😂😂
YES !
React to this , it's next level .
The missing cat emails is even funnier! lol Joe is a gem!
Joe Lycett is amazing. His unrelenting need to make the lives of shady people, corporations and scammers difficult is amazing. No slight is too small or petty for Joe to go into Epic Troll Mode, but he always does so in creative and amusing ways
Like when he changed his name by deed poll to Hugo boss lol 😂
He’s the best for sure. Remember when he was tagged for parking and ending with “parking on the moon”?
The property scammer 🤣
It's rare and incredible seeing dudes like you being such good LGBT+ allys
Like, I'm British, I'm also trans and pansexual, and in my experience straight white beardy American guys don't usually like us much so this is really lovely
Joe is hilarious. Look up his parking ticket fiasco. Great show lads

Joe Lycett is brilliant, very smart and very funny.

I was gonna say, that’s a very good clip to react to as well, along with the parking ticket of course
Joe has a show wher he stands up for consumers and takes it to the companies maybe worth checking out an episode

Seconding JazzyCat - Joe is pretty brave too - trolling some seriously unpleasant scammers - his letters are great too, ^oo^
his funniest clips are probably on 8 out
of 10 cats or anything to do with the scammers
What the hell has Paul Chuckle ever done to him 😂 Also as a card carrying queer I appreciate that you're doing these videos, dudes
you guys are great.
Joe Lycett routine about a lost cat is brilliant
Do his live at the apolllo clip. Its so funny.

My favourite is when he changed his name to Hugo Boss by deed poll to take Hugo Boss on a couple of years ago. Can’t remember the details but it did cause me much amusement at the time.

Thanx for support

Joe's brilliant and well known for his letters of complaint 👀👏👏😂
Thanks guys, Joe Lynette is great. Please watch the video where he gets a parking ticket - so so clever and funny❤️🙋♀️🇨🇦

You need to watch the whole show. Even this clip has loads of call backs to stuff earlier in the show. He is great though.
Hilarious man!! Hes amazing! He takes on companies, businesses, scams to get justice for people as well as his comedy.
He's done some great stuff on 8 out of cats does countdown...getting off with a parking ticket especially
1 thing guys the artiste video too quiet n u too loud other than that great keep em comin
