    I like the pype mufflers but those Flowmaster 40s makes it sound like the old Foxbodys and that’s amazing. I never heard a current gen mustang sound like that. Awesome mashup 🙌🏽 can’t go wrong with either one

      @mikesolstad7604 Před 3 lety +6

      Spot on with that assessment. Unfortunately I’m not a fan of that sound on the new age 5.0

      @robd1859 Před rokem +3

      Not without the h pipe. You have to have both in combination to give it the true 302 windsor sound.

    • @toranzoM
      @toranzoM Před 11 měsíci

      Yep. Needs mid mounted flowmasters with an h pipe. Prob as close as u can get but the secret sauce will always be a pushrod motor. They may be more powerful now, but nothing sounds like an older pushrod 302

      The old Foxbody had a piston engine the Coyote can’t replicate.

      @G.Harley.Davidson Před 4 měsíci

      @@robd1859gonna have to be a push rod engine to replicate the Windsor.

    40 Series all day long. Yeah baby! That’s what I’m talking about.

    Both sound good, my vote goes to the flows.

      Absolutely agree. I don't care what 'technology' any exhaust manufacturer comes up with, in my opinion, its going to be hard to beat the sound of that OG 40 Flow. Beautiful sounding muffler. Back in my younger days I wasted a lot of money on exhausts. I'd want to try something new because it was supposedly better than the Flows. I always went back to them.

      Exactly I used to have a 2004 gt and that old school Flowmaster sound hard to beat it’s classic

    I think the Pipe Bombs are good if youre looking for a nice tone but not too loud, but holy crap, the Flow 40 never sounds bad, its a great muffler.

  • @robd1859

    You don't put X pipe on a Mustang. There's only one exhaust that's supposed to go on a mustang and that is a flowmaster forty and h pipe. And this goes all the way back to the Fox body. This is notorious for giving it that really high pitched throaty sound...

  • @ragintaurusmusclemercury7023

    Pype Bombs are basically resonated exhaust tips. It would sound better once he delete the factory resonator.

  • @chrishernandez2490
    @chrishernandez2490 Před 3 lety +3

    Pypes sounded so clean. Did not like the excessive rasp from the flowmasters but thats probably from the X pipe.

    Remove resonator, install Flowmaster Super 10, DI-DO as the crossover, then put some long louvered resonators (like inside those Pype Bombs), then finish with Flowmaster 40/44. Curious to hear that setup from someone.

    That pipe crap sounds like a GM. Flowmasters all day 👍🏼

  • @EndlesSuffering
    @EndlesSuffering Před 2 lety +1

    Flow master just needs some small resonators in the middle to calm down the rasp, anyone who thinks raspy sounding exhaust sound good needs to put their ear right next to it and listen to it at max RPM’s..

  • @Mataco717
    @Mataco717 Před 4 lety +3

    I myself, like exhausts with a deeper bass-y, droney tone to it, but still with some good projecting throatyness. Flowmasters just always seem to be glassy and don’t project. Def has a signature sound, but eh. Pypes for me. Would be better with an X or O/R H pipe. But that’s just me.🤷🏻‍♂️ Can’t go wrong with V8’s.😎👌🏼

  • @G.Harley.Davidson

    The thing is the Foxbody had a push rod Windsor, and the Coyote is modulated like the 2000 Mustang 4.6s, so you’ll never be able to replicate the Windsor with 40 flowmaster sound exactly.

    I vote for the pipe bombs. More deeper tone. Sounds like a muscle car. So many Mustangs sound like sports cars with the buzzing sound the exhaust makes. Both efforts deserve a thumbs up though.

    Personally I think coyotes sound terrible, not your work you can' only change the engines basic sound. So much, there so raspy and sound like have trumpets for tips. If you want that euro sound you got it I guess but I'm more of that deep flowmaster growl, I like the sound of my old 5.0 wayyy better.

    OK I DESPERATLEY NEED HELP WITH THIS, i have 2021 mustang gt 5.0, i had a h-pipe built and its currently running glasspacks behind the tip (i had no idea the dude was putting glass packs on my car and im pretty pissed) anyways they drone like a mofo but there ehh bearable but still annoying, i want to put 10 or 40 series on my car or at least something that has a good sound to it (not roush or corsa, wayyy to high pitched for me) but how do i stop the drone, or at least tone it down where it dont give me a head ache?? I dont mind slight drone, factory exhaust had that, but not to the point where you can't hear shit around you! Please advise

    It's not a true Apples-to-Apples comparison when one of them has that massive dead-sounding mid-suitcase and the other has an X. And my goodness, why in the world leave that massive, heavy mid-suitcase on? Replace with H or X.

  • @Mocconagames

    My ears with pipe bombs sorry. And I think flows with resonator would be nice for me. Don't like this hysteric midrange sound of empty pipes from cats to the back.

  • @jv6miata
    @jv6miata Před 4 lety +4

    I think the pipe bombs sound better than the flows. Much deeper and imo the chambered sound makes the car sound older and cheaper
